It’s been a good few months since we’ve moved into our new house now and it’s finally starting to feel like home. I wanted to share with you some of the favorite things about our home.
First, I love the prints with of York by artist Mark Braithwaite. It’s a beautiful city we live in and his art is lovely.
Of course, I love our alcohol collection – although most of it is my boyfriend’s whiskey, a few bits in there are mine – including the Pumpkin Spice Baileys!
It’s really hard to take photos of framed photos, but I really like this quirky cycling prints my boyfriend bought. He’s really into his cycling and I think they sum up the sport perfectly.
I’ve been dying for the oak nest tables since we moved in. We don’t have a coffee table or room for side tables, so when having drinks on the sofa we’ve been having to put them on the mantle. It’s a bit annoying when you’re trying to chill out and have to get up to get your drink, so we got these little tables that slot away under the stairs that we can put drinks on by the sofa when we’re watching TV. Perfect.
My boyfriend has lots of wooden animals like this, but this elephant has to be my favorite as I love the detail on him!
What’s your favorite thing about your house?
The old timey framed prints on the wall with the red colour-added hot-air balloons and umbrellas look nice. I stopped drinking decades ago, but long ago when I drank I probably would have liked the Pumpkin Spice Baileys. I like the nested oak tables and the coaster on the top table. The carved wooden hephelump looks like an antique.
One of my favourite things at the moment about my house is the easy chair (recliner) – it’s perfect for watching NetFlix in 😀

Oh those York prints are beautiful with the black and white! I like the idea of the little tables too, we need something like that! The boys would probably just knock into it though, ha!
Hope you are having a good weekend, and you got some bargains in the sales. I made the most of some time off earlier this week and shopped at a few stores for Christmas presents but I haven’t bought anything in the sales yet.
