After years of wanting, I finally caved in and bought myself a new MacBook after my 2012 Macbook Pro was getting harder and harder to use. On holiday, the mouse played up and it lost the ability to click without great force and drag and drop. It’s a battered old thing, but very loved and it’s been to many places with me. Florida, Cyprus, Paris, Zante…

I would have held off a bit longer as I do have a desktop, but with my trip to Australia looming, I wanted something I could take with me that was easy to carry around. So I went for the rose gold 12 inch MacBook.

When I opened the box to this thing, I was shocked. It’s absolutely tiny and so thin and light. My iPhone is thicker! I’ve bought myself a sleeve to take it with me on the plane as well as an adapter. The thing I like the least about it is that there is only a plug for the charger and earphones, meaning to I had to buy an adapter to put in the charging point so it can read USBs and my SD card.

Overall, I’m very happy with my MacBook and I’ve started using it more than my desktop to blog on!

  1. Enjoy!

That’s the one annoying thing with Apple – they like to get rid of ports and things! 😀

  2. Oh this might be a really silly comment, but I had no idea that apple changed it so you could get more than the standard silver laptops! I guess it makes sense, as they have different coloured phones now..but I’m not a mac person so this is the first time I’ve seen it – it look beautiful, and thin and light means it will be perfect for travelling with! 🙂

I travelled to Sydney with my current laptop and it was incredible – last time I took a laptop anywhere it was my old reliable 7 year old one that was big, chunky and heavy. This little thin light one was a breeze, didn’t need a special bag or anything!

  3. Rose gold goals right here! I do love my Macbook but it annoys me how you have to buy everything seperate, and it’s all so expensive too! That being said, I don’t plan on changing mine anytime soon, I know they’re dear but I don’t know anyone who manages to keep a regular laptop longer than a Macbook!

  4. So glad you’re enjoying your new Macbook. I always use Windows laptops but I can see the appeal of Apple products, particularly as I love my iPhone x

  5. Congratulations on your purchase Corinne, I also need a new computer and I’m still thinking if a laptop or pc, this model looks divine, although every time they make it more minimalist and with less usb ports, I love the color! Kisses.

  6. This is lovely, such a beautiful colour and the size will be a delight to travel with. You will have to share more about how you find it a few months in Lucy x

  7. I’m dreading the day I have to buy a new laptop! While this rose gold one is so pretty and would match my phone, I hate that it has only two ports! *sigh*
