It’s been two years since I’ve changed my blog design. I really liked my old design but I was starting to feel like it was a little outdated. It’s been bugging me for a while now but I could never find a design that was me.

I wanted to keep certain things about my current design – like the circle picture on the main page with text in and the same colour scheme, but nothing seemed to fit.

I finally came across one that ticked all the boxes and I spent a few hours on Wednesday evening playing around with the options until I found something I’m happy with.

I’ve installed the theme onto all three of my blogs and kept the colour scheme the same. I’m able to have a left/right grid on the home page to keep the title pictures and I love it.

I love how it’s similar to my old theme, so it’s more like a facelift than a whole new look.

I hope you like it too.

  1. Can I ask, did you buy a pre-made template or did you tweak things yourself? Or a combination? I’m going to redesign soon and I’m wondering where to start! I’ve seen some templates that are ok but there are things about my current one I don’t like (e.g. the font) and I’d like the ability to make changes if I do buy another template!

  2. The new design is pretty cool. It still resembles the previous one in certain aspects and also you maintained a similar colour scheme so that your brand reamined cohesive. I like it!

  3. I’m using a theme from Pipdig too! Their themes are amazing! Love your new blog look x

  4. It must be something about the time of the year, I fancied a change too and recently gave my blog a bit of a makeover! I love the new look, it’s very clean, fresh and looks so good!

  5. Lovely new design, like how you have transitioned some of the old bits over. I really really need to update mine but it feels me with dread. My blog is so precious to me that a change seems scary but at the same time I know a clunky old out of date sites not great. The dilemmas Lucy x
