I was sent this lamp from a website called Dandelion Interiors. I’m a little bit sad as I can’t seem to find the lamp on the actual website and it was delivered in a plain box so I don’t know how to find it.
So I’ve named this lamp myself. The Glass Dome Lamp. It’s a very original name. I’ve always wanted a Glass Done Lamp!
Let’s get the cons out of the way first, I hated the packaging. It was inside lots of styrofoam which I understand is to protect the glass, but the problem was that this made it dirty as bits of it was stuck to the glass and base so I had to clean it first. I think the peanut type might be better as I don’t think that falls apart? Also, the part where the lamp screws into the base is a bit wobbly. It’s okay when you set it in place and don’t touch it, and I guess you don’t really touch lamps at all, but if it was an expensive product I would be questioning the quality.
Other than that, I love the lamp. It sits in the living room and we have it on every night when it gets dark outside. I love the detail in the bulb itself. It has a very old fashioned but cool feel to it.
I looked on amazon and it seems you can get replacement bulbs for around a fiver. I’m not sure how long this one will last, but we’ve been using it for about a month now.
