Summer is coming! I’m going to have a very busy one so a few weeks ago, I decided to plan ahead on my content.
Here are some of the things I have going on in summer:
1st July – 8th July I’m on holiday from work. My boyfriend also breaks up for the summer holidays. It’s my birthday on the 2nd and we’ll be spending a few days with my parents a few days at his parents.
I’m moving house at the end of July so I’m spending the new few weeks de-junking, then packing, then moving, then sorting.
I’m going on holiday for two weeks at the end of August.
This means I’m probably going to have limited time to blog – my days off work won’t be sat in front of the computer, so I’ve decided to plan ahead. So far I have 6 posts scheduled for July and I plan to write a few more each week until I have around 20 scheduled.
Here are a few things I’ve done/or will do.
- Content plan – write a list of posts I want to write.
- A post per evening – I’ve got into the habit of coming home and watching TV. I’m going to try to write a post each evening around 4 or 5 days a week.
- Sort out samples – I have loads of product samples from events and PRs that I need to blog about. I’m going to take some time to photograph them all and have them ready to write about.
- Let go of mistakes – I’ve talked about it before, spelling mistakes can be off-putting in blog posts, but I can’t afford to spend loads of time proof-reading. My dyslexia means I always struggle to spot my own mistakes unless I take the time to read the post backwards. But there are bigger things in life to worry about than the wrong use of their and they’re. Please don’t be a dick to me.
The end.
Do you have a content plan for the summer?
I always have a few posts planned, but I don’t write them in advance, mostly because my schedule is very flexible. But I blog every other day, so it’s less pressure.
I will have a summer blog schedule, because I will also work on my book! You have great plans ahead, enjoy!
I have no idea what I am going to do all summer, I am dreading it already lol, I don’t bother with spelling mistakes in posts, as long as I know what it is meant to mean, but maybe thats because I am bad for them too! as long as you are enjoying your summer there is no harm in posting as little or as often as you feel you should 🙂
You’ve got such a busy few weeks ahead! Make sure you also take some time to breathe though, as well. I’m envious of how organised you are with your blog! I’ve just gotten back into posting only twice a week now, and I’m trying to work out ways to keep my posts engaging enough – I’ve fallen into a habit of writing them the night before my posting days now, which I need to get out of so badly! Your post per evening plan sounds like a good idea, I might try to do something similar to organise myself, too.
Sounds like you have a busy July planned! You’ve got a great plan for staying on top of blogging 🙂
I am amazed that you still managed to blog everyday even though you’re so busy! I myself is struggling to find inspiration.
I’ve started planning a few weeks in advance just to relieve some stress and i’ve found it works a lot better for me, good luck with your plan!

Whilst reading this I was thinking wow, such a great plan and will free up time for you to do the things you need to. Enjoy your bday and good luck with the move x
I need to get this organised! I think if I can knock up one post a day that should help me, finally, get ahead! I keep getting so close to getting ahead then falling right behind again! Annoying much!
Sarah 🙂
I think you spelled everything wrong.
