I’ve always been a bit of a trendsetter, rather than a trend follower. Lol, jokes. I’m neither. I just like what I like and don’t care if it’s in or not. Unless it’s hard to get hold of. Like in winter when there are no cute floral dresses in sight. It gives me sadness.
There are many trends that really annoy me. The type where people go over the top with them, I just can’t. Here are some of them.
Yeah, unicorns are cute. It’s magical, I can see the appeal, but can we stop now? Why are fully grown women getting tattoos of unicorns on them? It’s too much.
This isn’t a trend that annoys me, more of something I can never understand. I don’t like tattoos and I’m sorry if you have one. It’s a bit awkward when people show me their new tattoo and I have to pretend to like it. I mostly just say sorry, I don’t like tattoos. If you a picture of something just hang it on your wall?
I pluck my brows maybe once a month. I’ve seen people say they can spend 40 mins doing their eyebrows in a morning? I’m very sorry, but I never take notice of people’s brows and it just seems like a waste of time to me? Maybe on special occasions, I can justify it – but every day?
A manager at work said we should do this. LOL NO. It’s stupid. Like, the first one is always good. Not that I watched it. But when everyone and their dog (literally!) are doing it, I’m like LOL go get a personality.
Those tag friend memes.
Mostly seen on Facebook, tag a friend and don’t say anything. Or those ‘these girls will get married this year’ and a list of 10 generic female names.
Clickbait shit. Go away.
There are, however, some obsessions I can get on.
These include wine, gin, CHEESE, Netflix, Candy Crush calling my BFF BAE, overusing YOLO and the totally British ‘beer and BBQ as soon as the sun comes out’.
There are also obsessions I once got on but now regret.
Pokemon go, cat obsession, overusing the Facebook Poke.
What trends do you love and hate?
