The first month of 2017 is over. Wow. I can’t believe how fast it has gone.

I’m near enough 100% recovered from vertigo. Although I went to see a specialist who said it’s not vertigo and I have to go for an MRI scan to look at my head. Then I have to go back to the specialist and discuss it and maybe see a neurologist. It doesn’t sound like it’s something they can treat. Doom.

Although because I’ve been feeling better, I’ve been hitting the gym. I weighed myself and it was doom. I have gained a stone while being laid on the sofa for a month with my boyfriend spoon feeding me Ben and Jerry’s and bringing me wine and cheese. Good boyfriend, bad life choices.

I started slowly at first as I still wasn’t feeling great, but for the past week I’ve felt better and I’ve been able to add more time and intensity to my workouts so hopefully I’ll get my body back soon. I’m pretty miserable with how I look at the moment and not being able to fit into my favourite dresses is heartbreaking.

I’ve got a busy February, no doubt that will go fast too!

How’s your month been?

  1. If they think it’s not vertigo could it be labrinthitis? (that could be spelt completely wrong!) Someone I work with had it and it completely threw his balance off – I think I actually had it at the beginning of this month too, it was like being permanently drunk!

  2. I had vertigo going back a year or two – it’s not fun! Sometimes, even if it means a bit of weight gain, you have to rest up and give your body time to heal. You’ll lose that stone again in no time, I’m sure of it! Did January go fast? It seemed to drag on for me! Haha.

  3. The weight gain is totally normal in a new relationship, it’s supposed to show how comfortable you are with the other person or something, or so I remember the magazines telling me! You’ll be back to your goal weight in no time, you’re a beast when it comes to the gym! You’ve got this! Can’t wait to see what February brings for you!

  4. Hope you feel better. Gymming always does make me feel better but its getting to the gym thats the problem. But also of course better not to overdo it. Any thoughts on the Aqua di Parma stuff – is it good? Basically does it make sense to spring so much money for it?
