Last July, I ordered tickets to go and see Band of Horses at Leeds O2 academy. It seems ages away at the time, but it quickly swung around and the band played last Sunday night.
Sarah and I went to see Band of Horses in in Wolverhampton back in June 2010. We’ve both loved the band for over 10 years, so when they came to my hometown of Leeds I had to buy the tickets!
Before going to the concert, we grabbed some food from the Alchemist. I had Japanese Ramen and it was delicious. Perfect choice and I didn’t regret it at all.
After food, we went for a drink in a nearby pub and then queued up. We were so excited in the queue but everyone else just didn’t seem to care. I’m pretty confident we were the biggest horses fans there that night.
When we got in, we managed to squeeze to the front. We were talking to a few others who were also at the front. It seemed to take ages for the music to start playing.
There was a support band on first, Israel Nash, who was actually pretty decent.
After what seemed like forever, Band of Horses finally came one. They played some of their old songs and a few from their latest album. Some of them were:
- Infinite Arms
- No one’s gonna love you
- Islands on the coast
- The Great Salt Lake
