Clearly, the most memorable thing about balmi lip balm is its packaging.

This is a CUBE. A fun cube. I got this in the goodie bag at The Girl Gang event and have been dying to open it but putting it off.

Why would I be putting it off? I hear you ask. Well, this one is simple. I am a serial lip balm opener. I could tell you the location of at least 8 open lip balms in my flat right now. Kitchen side, kitchen drawer, living room table, handbag, jacket pocket, makeup box, makeup drawer.. etc etc.

So I was trying to hold out a little bit so I didn’t have another lip balm floating about.

But then gave in. Mostly because I wanted to blog about it.

balmi lip balm reviewThe cube is soft. I can’t explain it. It’s not like hard plastic. I mean, it’s plastic but the type of plastic that has that rubbery feel to it. When I twisted the rubbery box open, I found a pointed mound of lip balm. For some reason, I was expecting it to be a sphere, but I think I’m confusing balmi with a different brand.

The pointed shape of the balm is perfect for application. Just stick it between your lips (wheyyy!) and you can coat both lips at the same time. Genius.

This coconut flavour isn’t one I would have picked in the shop, but I’m glad I have it as it’s lovely. It’s not overly strong and you can smell the shea butter too, which is one of my favourite smells in the world.

I would pick up one of these again if I needed more lip balms in my life. Which I don’t. But the cherry one takes my fancy!

  1. I’ve never seen or read about this brand before but it’s so dang cute! I think you’re thinking about EOS lip balm for the sphere lip balm inside? LOL!

  2. I have so many lip balms too – mainly because my lips get so dry in the Winter, so I always want to have one to hand x

  3. I took this to Florida with me and it did great for the first couple of days, I love the pointy shape so you can lip-balm both lips in one swoop – but then the lid got smashed on a ride and that was the end of my Balmi 🙁

  4. I’ve never heard of this brand but the packaging is super cute and unusual! Plus anything coconut scented is a winner with me x

  6. Oh yes I have lip balms stashed all over the place! It’s always when I don’t have one handy that my lips feel driest hehe. This is such a cute one too, wonderful packaging, very different.

  7. I love Balmi. Their design is so fun, and cute. I picked up a Mint Balmi in Primark one day and it smells AMAZING. x

  8. Sadly not a massive lip balm gal, but my friend Jackie seems to have a collection of these, so I know she’d love this! 🙂 Tania Michele xx
