#socialbloggers 125 // Your blog in song

blog in a song

Another interesting #socialbloggers topic. This was all about songs that relate to you and blogging.

The song that I think describes my blog the most is probably Elastic Heart by Sia. I’ve always been a Sia fan and I’m glad she’s getting more recognition for her amazing talent.

I love Elastic Heart because it represents a lot of what I aspire to be. Behind all the stupid jokes and vanity posts I write, there are few posts about personal growth. Being resilient is something I try to be and work towards. Which is funny because in my review at work last week, my manager described me as being very resilient. I think I’ll write a separate post about that! The resilience, that is. Not my review. You wouldn’t care.

If I was to dedicate a song to my blog, I’d probably hire Regina Spektor to sing that song. While playing piano, of course!

In terms of music I listen to while blogging, I tend to listen to calming music. At the moment I’m listening to a playlist that has Sia, Regina Spektor and Band of Horses, so it’s a mixture of calm music with some louder songs.

I don’t always listen to music while blogging though as I find it distracts me and I prefer to work in silence.
