It’s been almost 3 months since I moved into my new flat and it’s about time I showed you my blogging space.

In my old house, this was my desk and where I took photos. In the house before that, here was my desk where I blogged.

I really loved that white desk in my old house, but sadly it didn’t survive the move so I ended up using a desk that was already in the flat. It doesn’t look as nice, but it does the job well. I would like a new one, but then I don’t know what I’d do with the one I’m using now as it came with the flat. I’m also trying to limit the amount of furniture I buy because moving it is such a pain!

I initially had my computer on the thinner part of the corner desk that survived (see above), but it was really uncomfortable to blog on as I couldn’t out my legs under it like a desk. Also with the position of the desk in the room, the light from the window was reflecting off the screen, so I decided to do a bit of DIY and unscrew the top part of the desk off and have my computer on that instead.

I now use the old white desk as a dressing table.

I have a two bedroomed flat, I use this bedroom as my office space and also as a dressing room. I do have a wardrobe in my bedroom but I have clothes that I don’t wear as often in that room. In my office, I have a wardrobe with my most worn dresses in, my gym, running and cycling gear and also a wooden chest of drawers and three plastic storage drawers that are full of tights, underwear, PJs, tops and other items of clothing.

I also have my piano on top of the drawers which doesn’t get played enough! The iPad and notebook is on there as I use the notebook to write down music I’m learning and the iPad I use to download sheet music onto.

Above my piano are my bib numbers from some runs I’ve done and my signed Shaytards poster. As well as a print Dorkface sent me.

Down the bottom of my room is where I have my everyday makeup and do it in the mirror next to the wardrobe. I also have my blog photo set up on the floor and use the windowsill to keep any items that I’m waiting to review or photograph.

Maria is also hiding in the corner!

If you’re wondering what the weird pen thing is on the desk, it’s a Penclic mouse. It’s basically a mouse that acts like a pen that I’m in the middle of reviewing for my tech blog!

My blogging room is nowhere near perfect, but it does what I need it to do and I love having a room separate from my bedroom to get ready in and blog!

Where do you blog?

  1. Looks great. x I usually blog from the living room, on the reclined sofa. I might be more productive with a desk, but my home-office is full of work-related stuff.

  2. This looks fab, I’d love to have a proper blogging space but I sit on the sofa to blog and take photos in the bathroom or dining room! x

  3. I’m so jealous, I’d love to have my own little office space set up for blogging but we just don’t have the space. So I blog from the sofa, sometimes the bed, and take photos usually in the living room or kitchen because they have the best floors and natural lighting!

  4. I think you did a great job with the space, Corinne! I wish I have space for blogging but mine is either on the couch or on the dining table.

  5. I wish I had a bigger space for blogging but sadly I have to settle with the coffee table for now. I’m off to vintage shopping for a big kitchen table and hopefully a corner of that will be made for blogging 🙂 x

  6. I am genuinly jealous of your blogging office/dressing room! I wish I had a space like this! I have blog stuff all over the house and have to use the kitchen table as a desk – don’t even get me started on the poor minuscule wardrobe I have to squish all my dresses into too! I’m lacking space and missing out so much!

  7. Love it!I like the idea of having a separate room for blogging and photo taking!I used to blog on my bed but wasn’t much productive as you can guess so i move right next to it,on a desk! For photos i have a small, short, drawer thing which i move it near the window every time that i need it 🙂

  8. Ooh, this is SO interesting! I LOVE seeing all your blogging bits (AND that lovely bit of wood matting!!!) Yay, why didn’t I know you played the keyboard??? That’s so cool!

  9. You have such a great space. For me it’s just a laptop on a lap table, not quite the professional blogger just yet
