Sometimes I have no idea what my life is.
One day you’re taking blurry photos of yourself in a mirror with an iPhone to put on a blog with a default template, the next thing you know you’re in London at a press event drinking prosecco and eating truffles while brushing shoulders with editors and journalists. Some of these people have blue ticks by their Twitter handles and everything. I love blogging!
Who even am I?
M&S Christmas Event
The 2016 Marks and Spencer Christmas event was stunning.
On entering and grabbing a spiced gin, I was drawn to the gift section which had the stocking shop. The stocking shop was one of my favourite sections. How it is in the photos is how it will be laid out in-store – the idea is you can pick a stocking and then select your own items to fill it with.
I probably would have filled mine with M&S sole gin.
The gift sets were amazing too. From ones that let you create your own gin and vodka to an amazing chilled hamper that included cheese.
Truffles were everywhere. Rose gold ones, white ones, gold ones. Truffles are now my new favourite thing.

I have to admit, the Bucks Fizz crisps weren’t for me. But if I wasn’t a vegetarian, I’d be hitting up the fish products. I was always a fan of salmon – I used to love the starter/party type treats that are around at Christmas.
Let’s talk about gin, shall we?
Another highlight of the event was that you could make your own M&S gin infusion, by mixing herbs and spices then filling with gin – by two weeks it will be ready to drink.
I wanted mine spiced, I used cinnamon, ginger, orange, cranberries and a few other bits. Obviously, I named my gin ‘Ginnedcartree’.

We’re in the home section now. This was a bloggers paradise – a rose gold Christmas. It was beautifully decorated and I’m not considering decorating my flat this year! We don’t usually decorate as there’s not much space in our current home, plus I go to my parents over Christmas, but I might decorate the new flat for a change.
The bedding was lovely – my housemate always gets Christmas bedding and I get jealous. I might have to invest this year in a few Christmas decorations in my room.
The Marks and Spencer 2016 Christmas trees were amazing!

Upstairs was the beauty section. Of course, this included a beauty advent calendar with many well known high-end brands included.

I’m really looking forward to what’s going to be in store at M&S this year. There is a M&S food hall right next to my gym. I am doomed.

Lovely photos and products, beautiful christimas deco. Nice work there, hope you enjoy the event. Thanks for sharing!

What a fab event. Those sparkling macaroons are so cute! I like the idea of a letterbox wreath.
Oh wow what a beautiful event. This is the first time in years that I haven’t gone to any Christmas in July events but that one looks worth turning out for.
Omg I want some ginnedcartree! Your concoction sounds amazing!

It’s too early for Christmas = doom!!! You’ve now made me feel massively unorganised as I haven’t started planning presents haha!
I couldn’t cope with truffles everywhere – I’d just eat and eat and eat haha!
Oh wow July is much too early to think bout Christmas, haha! Although that food, especially the chocolate, looks awesome!
Can’t believe we are more than halfway through the year, it’s flying by! Hope your gin tastes lovely – I giggled at the name 🙂
this post made me yearn for Christmas. Those decorations, though! So pretty 😀
I love Christmas. December in general. I can’t flipping wait! 🙂
This all looks so magical. M&S are such a dream brand at Christmas time. They just seem to get it all so right. 🙂 If I’d of gone I wouldn’t of wanted to leave. You lucky thing! 🙂

Christmas events are so strange to go to in July but secretly a guilty pleasure. Ooh M&S look like they have some yummy bits the sloe gin, pig in blankets pies and their lovely festive bedding would all get my vote. Lucy x
