I didn’t mean to buy the Maybelline Eye Shadow Palette Blushed Nudes. It just happened. I was looking for a new eyeliner, you see. And there was an offer on at Morrisons. Two for £10! So I got the eyeliner and this.
After feeling a bit cheated over my fake Naked palette, cuz I’m a stupid dumb head, I was in much need of a new one to make myself feel better.
The colours are very similar to the Naked 3 palette and range from matte to shimmery, light to dark.
Of course, I bought this for my never ending quest for a dupe for dust – my favourite shadow from the Naked 3 that has been used up, replaced and used up again which I go on and on and on about all the time. The second shadow on the top row is closest to this and although it’s not exact, it’s pretty similar.
The colours fab pigmentation wise, although they’ve not the best I’ve ever used. They blend well together but I found when trying to pick up the shadow from the palette, it creates a lot of dust which is wasted and also gets all over the other shades, as the shadow pots rest flat against the palette.
The double ended brush and sponge applicator it comes with is pretty naff too. Mainly because the brush is too small. But I have enough brushes to just use a different one.
For £7.99, you can’t complain really. This is a great little palette is will probably be one of my summer staples 🙂
