When Irresistible Me approached me about trying some of their hair extensions, I declined because I already have extended hairs. They asked me if I wanted to try something else instead, so I opted for heir Diamond Hair Straighteners.
I was skeptical, because when I went to the US two years ago, we got some straighteners that were supposed to be better than GHD. The ones the guy tested on us were awesome! So we haggled ourselves a deal and got some. Only to find they weren’t actually that good. I’m such a gullible naive child. Doom. I’d like to saw I’ve learnt my lesson. But apparently not.
Because they’re from America, I had to get an adapter plug, which was about £2 on Amazon.

The straighteners come beautifully presented in a black box that closes magnetically. They’re bright red with black plates. The straighteners feature unique DIAMOND Hi-Tech, which coats the floating ceramic plates with crushed diamond particles mixed with tourmaline.
They reach 230C in 20 seconds and there’s the option to turn the temperature up and down.

So how did they fair on my hair?
I have thick, long hair. Left to it’s own devices, it goes frizzy with ringlets and curls. I’ve only ever used GHD’s as they’re the only thing that have worked in the past. Apart from some knock off GHDs that I bought off eBay. They were 40 quid and brilliant. But one day they heated up without being switched on (but plugged in, because I’m an idiot) and burnt through my computer mouse they were resting on and themselves. I tried to get a second pair but they just weren’t the same.
Soooo how did this work on my hair?
Pretty damn amazing.
They quickly straightened my hair and got rid of frizz.
I find with GHDs, I have to keep going over and over some of the frizzy bits and I’m still not completely cured. Also with GHDs, I have to go over my hair again the next day as my hair starts to frizz and get wavy again. With these straighteners, my hair was still straight the next day!
Take a look for yourself in the photos below.
The worst thing about the straighteners is the website you buy them from. You can get them from here, but be warned – you’ll be met with an awful popup that tries to make you log in or register, so you can’t browse freely. Please, Irresistible Me, sort this out so more people can buy your amazing hair straighteners that work better than GHD’s for a fraction of the price without frustration?

Have you ever found straighteners better than GHDs? That’s a pretty bold statement, but I’m happy to stand by it. My GHDs are now packed in a box under my bed for an emergency if anything happens to these.
Update: They singed my hair.

I have GHDs, have had the same pair now for 9 years and I know their end will be coming, but like you I’m scared to try anything new in fear of them not as good! These look fab though, your hair looks amazing! Would love to see how your hair is naturally though! 🙂

Your extended hairs look beautiful. I’ve just spent all the money on some new straighteners, but I shall keep these in mind for one my ones give up the ghost x
Your hair looks amazing. It’s a shame about their website, I wanted to look, but I’m not going to sign up to newsletters only so I can see the products. (it does the same thing even if you exit and enter again).
I am considering hair straighteners, but I’m not sure how they will affect my hair.
The brand must be great the result looks perfect.
Your hair looks beautiful, I’m currently so jealous because mine is a total mess and I simply can’t help it! 🙂
Very cool gadget! Sounds like something I would really love to try.

Your hair looks awesome! My hair is thick and frizzy and in desperate need of a new straightener 🙂
Your hair looks really sleek and lovely! I use a mini CHI iron on my hair but I’ll have to remember this brand if I need a new one.
I love any hair tools that make my hair shinier 🙂 I own a Nume set so I have curling wands and a straightener… don’t really need anything else now..
Wow, it’s seem so perfect! I would try!

I have a really cheap pair of straighteners, and by the time I got to work this morning by hair was already wavy… I mean, the off little drops of rain didn’t help, but still. I need to get myself some of these.
