Remember the April Glossybox? What about the March Glossybox?

Remember how I dubbed them the wankest and worst Glossybox ever?

I’ve been waiting patiently for the May Glossybox, to see if it had any qualities to redeem itself. Or should I say, I’ve been waiting to get the motivation to drive myself to the Post Office at the ridiculously unreasonable times it’s open. I mean, 6am – 12pm. WHAT EVEN IS THAT TIME? Pft.

Anyway, let’s not get angry before we’ve even started because I’m pretty sure that this totally affects how much I love or hate the Glossybox.

Be neutral, Corinne, you over emotional idiot.

Let’s go.

Glossybox May 2016

Sooooo they kids at Glossybox must have seen my post about what I would put in a subscription box if I created one. Because the first thing I saw was this little packet of Proper Corn. Woo for healthy snacks. I ate this in between writing the introduction of this post and starting this paragraph, when I was briefly distracted by Ellen videos on YouTube of a girl doing a pull-up dance and a man dancing on a treadmill.

True story.

Glossybox May 2016 glossybox may 2016 velvet lippie

Absolute New York Velvet Lippie

Ohhh, this matte lipstick has a highly pigmented colour and the colour is lovely. It’s right up my street and I’ll probably be reviewing this at some point. I am impressed so far. So that’s 2 points for Glossybox so far – one for the popcorn and one for this.

glossybox may 2016 hand cream

Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Therapy

My impressedness from the lippie has been evened out slightly by this. I’m knocking a point off because I HATE HANDCREAM IN BEAUTY BOXES.

It’s just proper boring, isn’t it.

I don’t even want to talk about it.

glossybox may 2016 bee good

Bee Good Youth Enhancing Plump & Firm Moisturiser

Okay, this is a sample size, but it’s not a sachet, so can probably get a few days use out of this. I’ll give 0.5 points for this.

Also, I have no idea why I’m scoring this. It just kind of happened, so let’s go with it?

Bee Good is a well known brand, they’ve worked with many bloggers before and have a great brand that puts back some of their profits into UK beekeeping causes.

This moisturiser plumps, smooths and softens your skin.

glossybox may 2016 nail gel

Lockeryl Nail Gel

Well this is a new thing for me. Never heard of this brand. It’s a gel that works to improve the condition of your nails, promoting natural regrowth and helping to repair brittle nails, damaged nails and discolouration.

I have zero interest in this product myself because as depressing as this sounds, my nails are probably my best feature. LOLZ.

I’ll give it Glossybox a point though because it’s a full sized product and something different than what they usually put in their boxes.

glossybox may 2016 revlon

Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara.

Yes. This is full size and A MASCARA. I love getting mascaras in boxes. It’s going in my queue of mascara and I’ll be using it soon.

This is one of the 5 new Revlon mascaras to come out. There was an option to pick which one, but I missed the boat on that so they just chucked one in for me. Doom. Hopefully this works well.

Glossybox, a point for yooouu.

glossybox may 2016

This box gets 3.5 points out of I don’t know cuz I just made this game up.

I like it better than the previous two boxes, not sure if my faith is fully restored yet, let’s wait for the June Glossybox..

  1. I got this months Glossybox too,but instead of the hand cream and nail cream I got a fancy hair band (stops kinks and snags in your hair) and some sunlotion. I actually quite liked my box this time, I think if I got yours though I would of been disappointed. I have enough hand creams to open a hand cream shop.
Also loved the box design and popcorn. No doubt next month will be a different story! x

  2. First things first you lucky thing on having lovely nails. This box redeems itself but I agree not that far that I would subscribe Lucy x

  3. Don’t hate me but I love getting hand creams in subscription boxes. They’re the perfect size for my lab coat! I’m constantly washing my hands with hospital regulation soap and let me tell you something, it might kill off all the germs and MRSA but it ruins my skin too, so hand creams are a must all day long! Much more usable box in my opinion compared to previous ones!

  4. It’s good that Glossybox stepped it up this mont. I don’t mind getting hand creams in beauty boxes cause they’re great for stashing in my purse.

  5. It’s good you got a few full sized products at least! Hopefully you love everything after reviewing it, and the next box is even better 🙂

  6. I’m glad they’re starting to redeem themselves. I don’t have Glossybox but I don’t blame you for being upset with the last two.

  7. Well it seems they have started to redeem themselves. It may be a few boxes before they are fully redeemed though?! Funnily enough, I saw a tweet with a pic of the contents of this month’s Glossybox and one of my first thoughts was ‘Corinne would be happy, she was saying she’d include healthy snacks in her own beauty box!’ Lol. That’s so lame, I know. I have a really good memory though. x

  8. such a lovely beauty box…so many different products. I love New York Velvet Lippie. Beautiful shade) I would like to try this))

  9. glad you liked this one better, haha! some of the products here seem quite lovely, i hope the mascara is good! xx

  10. I have a subs to glossy box and this is the exact collection of goodies I got. I’m loving the lip gloss and hand cream.

  11. I would have cancelled if I received that box, it’s a complete bust for me. And let me know how you get on with that Revlon mascara? It’s a wank to me. Very wet and it also, smudge and flake like crazy on me! Ugh!

  12. Unlike you I would not have been happy with popcorn. Come on! I just think its something you can get at a Tesco – whats the point of a subscription box? Also, I would have also been upset getting Revlon. I always want brands you don’t get easily so this is another problem. Maybe I should stay away from subscription boxes! Haha!

  13. I got a couple of different items. I think the Loceryl is such a medical looking product? Strange. Wish my lip product had been a better shade too.

  14. Ooh not bad, the nail stuff sounds good as my nails are so weak lately! I prefer what I got though – got some non-kinking hair ties and a Hawaiian Tropic sun oil thing Your ‘I don’t want to talk about it’ made me laugh out loud! xx

  15. This box is better than the last one. I had a hand cream from them and it was fine, so I would like to try this one.
