Fancy a cruise ship get away?

5 things (30)

Remember Lilly? She was my housemate for years until last July, when she decided to quit her job and go on an adventure. This adventure first involved travelling around central America for a few months, then she came back for a while. Then she worked as a chef on a German cruise ship for 6 months.

She came back to dry land a few weeks ago, and we were reunited:

She was telling us all about life on the cruise ship, what it was like to work there. While I don’t think I’d be fond of working on one, from the stories she told, I’m pretty sure I would like to go on a cruise one day.

This is where my whole Corinne has the urge to travel the world and stay in luxury hotels thing comes into play.

I want to go on a cruise!

There’s a site called Planet Cruise which has, well, last minute cruises. There were some cheap ones for only £350! Wuttt?!

I could lie and talk about all the places I’d love to visit on a cruise ship, but to be honest, I just want the on board experience. It doesn’t matter where we go, as long as I’m on a ship!

How stunning do these ships look?

Have you ever been on a cruise ship before? Would you want to?

I haven’t been on a cruise ship before, it is on my bucket list! However the idea of being on the sea for days is kinda scary, don’t you think so? 🙂

Yup went on one last year and I’m pretty sure you’d never get the ones in those photos for £350, they’re the creme de la creme of cruise ships especially the one with the open mall running down the middle! I’d love to go on one with all the slides though, I’m such a kid! X

I’d love to go on a cruise! The closest I’ve come is the overnight ferry from Hull, and I don’t think it’s quite the same thing!

I adore sea and all kinds of ships but cruise ones aren’t exactly my cup of tea. I find them too big, too crowded…something like a boat version of a shopping mall and seriously I don’t think I’ll ever change my mind and book one. Am I weird? 🙂

I haven’t ever been a cruise and didn’t really fancy it until I watched a vlog of someone’s holiday on a cruise and then I was like ‘I wanna goooo’ haha. I feel like I’d want a short one to trial whether I got seasick or not first though haha

Oh WOW! The look fantastic, Titanic esq. My friend works on a cruise ship and I couldn’t do it either to be honest. I would love to have a holiday on one though, just for the experience. x

I’m just back from a week in Corfu and when we were leaving the airport some of our plane’s occupants were getting on a cruise – I was so jealous as I’ve always fancied going on one! I love love LOVE boats!

I’ve been lucky enough to go on a few cruises with my family when I was younger, it’s a great way to see new places and it does feel quite glamorous when you’re there! I’d recommend P&O cruises and you can get some good deals from Bolsover Cruise club on them 🙂
