Of course, to match our healthy intentions for the start of 2016, the Degustabox January 2016 is called Healthy New Year. It’s jam packed full of healthy and yummy treats and drinks to help us reach our healthy lifestyle goals.
I’ve been on such a health kick over the past few weeks. You know when you step on the scale and want to die? Well, that happened. Then I decided that doing something about it would be much more productive than dying. So I decided to up the exercise and lower the food instead.
I was in the best shape of my life last May when I was marathon training. But I slowly gained weight back after and then in December, I was ill and took a full week off exercise. When I did go back to the gym, I was only doing the bare minimum as exercise triggered my illness. Enough of that though, if you want to know more about my fitness goals and keep up with my fitness updates every week, then you need to head over to my fitness blog.
As you can see, this box is perfect for me this month – and probably perfect for many others, too.
Let’s take a peak inside.
Degustabox January 2016
Barilla’s Whole-Wheat Fusilli // £1.50
We all know we should be eating whole-wheat and whole-grain version of pasta, rice, bread, ANYTHING. It’s so much better for us and this whole wheat pasta gives you 20% of your RDA of fibre.
Barilla’s Mediterranean Vegetables // £2
This sauce is a great accompaniment to pasta meals. You can have a pretty healthy pasta meal with a tomato based sauce, there’s no need to be tempted to put creamy sauces on it that contain so much more fat and calories!
Here’s what I’m thinking:
A small amount of whole-wheat pasta, chopped onion, mushroom, peppers, courgettes and this mediterranean sauce, complete with a bit of basil on top for the perfect low calorie, instagramy meal.
Can I get a whoop whoop?
Bitavivo // £1
This is a crispy oat heart cereal which can lower your cholesterol and blood glucose. Great with fruit or yogurt for a healthy breakfast – this will get your day off to the right start fo’ sho’.
Hip Pops // £1
This is a baked potato snack, as it’s baked, it contains 50% less fat than your average package (or packet, but I prefer to say package with a French accent) crisps. Winner! They have 6 flavours and they’re all gluten free. Double winner!
Fabulous Bakers £1.80
These Mango and Pineapple bars are packed full of natural ingredients and have no added sugar.
They have real fruit, oats and are high in fibre.
Perfect for an on the go breakfast or a little summink summink to put you on before your tea.
Nothing But // £1.69
I’m not going to go into too much detail with these as I wrote a full post on a Nothing But review I did on my fitness blog.
Complete Energy // £1.99
These energy bites are infused with caffeine that equals one large cup of coffee. It’s a great pick me up when you need a boost or alertness, endurance and physical energy.
Red Square Toffee Mini // £1.99
This toffee flavoured vodka is perfect for sneaking into work parties where the bar charge you an arm and a leg for a drink. So this is what I’m going to do for my work party next Saturday.
Don’t judge.
TreeVitalise Birch Water // £2.79
Oh wow I’m so curious about this. What is this Birch Water? WHAT IS IT? The bottle is beautiful. It’s only 10calories a bottle is packed with micronutrients. I can’t wait to try it!
Crabbies Light // £1.46
I love Crabbies Ginger Beer. It was Degustabox that introduced me to it almost two years ago and I’m in love. I love how it burns slightly, haha.
Now you can enjoy a lighter version if you’re watching the old waistline.
Skinny Chai Lattee // Gift
This was a bit of an extra freebie in the box, it’s the latest edition to the Skinny Chai Latte range and is spiced with a hint of clove.
It looks delicious!
So there you have it, the January Degustabox.
This box actually marks two years of working with Degustabox! I don’t often contact brands to ask to work with them. I’ve done so only twice in my three years of blogging, and Degustabox was one of them. I just loved the look of it and saw some bloggers review them and decided to try my luck. And here I am, two years later, still loving the box and sharing it’s contents with you lot every month!
If you want your own, you can get a massive £6 off the box using the discount code: BLDEG15
So pop over to Degustabox and get yourself one 🙂
These look brilliant, love boxes like this 🙂 Happy weeken x
I love Barilla Brand you will not go wrong their pasta and sauces are amazing. The chai latte I will love to try I drink Chai Tea. Have a great weekend.
Whoop whoop!
I cna’t believe how much great stuff you get in just one box. Who do they use for delivery? (My postman seems to hate me as he always pretends to deliver stuff and then I have to go pick it up from the sorting office).
everything sounds like something i’d like to try!
xo
Inspirations Have I None
Im actually trying to get a lot healthier so this post has definitely helped xx
This could be my favourite box so far! Everything looks delicious and I love finding new healthy snacks to try! I want to know about the birch water, does that mean it’s made from trees or something? I’m intrigued!
Sarah 🙂
Hip Pop reminds me of PopChips which I really love and I could go through a whole packet in one sitting! This looks like a great box, Corinne and looking at Barilla pasta and sauce makes me crave for a good plate of pasta now.
The mango and pineapple bars look so good!
Hip Pop sounds really good!! I’d love to try that. Also, I’ve always liked Barilla because it’s pretty healthy, tastes good and is really easy! I’ve never heard of “Degustabox” but it seems cool- you get a variety of things to try every month? Helpful reviews on these items!
Happy new year 🙂
That is supposed to say Hip Pops*, not Hip Pop!
The cereal sounds like my type of thing!!!!x
