A Bloggers Desk // Take Two

Almost two years ago, I wrote a post where I showed you all my blogging space.

I moved out of that house in July, this means my space has changed quite a bit since then – so I wanted to do an updated version of where I can be found blogging and what things I have around me.

A new blog post about my blogging desk and space where create my blog posts!

The biggest change is the actual desk. I always wanted a corner desk, so when I realised the house we were moving into didn’t have any desks in the room, I bought myself a corner one. I wasn’t sure what colour to go for at first but decided on white. I picked white because I wanted to use it to take photos on with a white background, which I did do for a couple of months!

The things I typically have around me are a few note books – one is my 5 year diary which, as predicted, I’m rubbish at updating! I have have a weekly planner and a 2016 diary – I’m wank at updating those, too. Don’t judge me.

I also have my Macbook Pro – which isn’t always on my desk but I’m just being posey. I do sometimes have it there if I want to watch something while doing something online. There are also some things I’ll use the laptop for, rather than the desktop, because my desktop doesn’t have a disc drive to install software. The only negative of the Mac Mini.

I usually have my Olympus Pen near by – so that one actually isn’t posey. I keep it close because 1) I LOVE IT and 2) this is what I use to take my Instagram photos on – it connects to my phone so I can import photos straight to it!

On the left hand side of the desk, I have my Xbox One, my Wacom drawing pad and my Mac Mini.

Under the desk is a bit of a mess, I was going to tidy it but I was going for the real effect. Actually, that’s a lie I was just lazy.

I have things I need to review, or are the middle of testing, on the left, a drawer that has some documents and important things in and the cupboard has my camera case, camcorder and other cables/electrical.

To the right is the desk organiser that featured in my last desk post – it has various stationary in it. I also have some batteries, a sonic screw driver and the towers of old Glossyboxes that are full of samples.

There are a few others things I’d like to add to my blogging area to spruce it up some more. This large Be Awesome Maxi Poster to stop the walls being so bare, this bulb shaped table lamp as the lighting in my room is terrible at night and this wall clock. All in a green colours, just like the colour theme of my blog, haha, yes, I’m that sad!

  1. I would love a corner desk, in fact I’d just love a desk, and my own space. I have to blog from the kitchen table and it really winds me up sometimes I can’t keep all my ‘stuff’ out and at hand. MY whole blogging life, laptop and notebooks included has to be crammed into a too small laptop bag. It’s so annoying. I want my own little room!

  2. We had a corner desk, and loved it! I absolutely LOVE the wall clock(yes for the awesome color!:) the lamp is pretty amazing too! Prices aren’t bad at all! Happy blogging!

  3. A desk would be great. I use my laptop on my lap and my stuff is all over and then I just tidy it away. But, I think I will eventually get a desk to have my laptop on and all my stuff because it would make it much easier ๐Ÿ™‚ x

  4. It is important to have the space when blogging and all the necessity you need like camera ipad and laptop also a notebook and calender to keep organize. I have an office in my house but sometime I just sit in my kitchen and type away on my laptop.

  5. I like your space, i have something similar but not a corner desk. I like everything to be white and clean looking, it helps me focus better.

    Elaine –

  6. I always enjoy checking out other people’s workspaces. I share a desk with my husband but it’s quite large so we never get in each other’s way. I always have music playing from my computer ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Looks great. I have a home office (for my job, but I can blog from there), but I still manage to blog (and work) with my laptop on my lap on the sofa. :))

  8. You are so organised! I am impressed, my blogging space is generally the back of a lecture hall, an airport table or my bed.. so bad for my posture I know!

  9. Ugh I totally want a desk!! But you know, small flats, London etc etc. My blogging space is my curled in a blanket on the couch usually!!

  10. This space is such a dream! Love the corner desk and how you’ve set it all out. Can’t wait to get my own place and hopefully own space for a desk.

  11. I would love to have a desk space but my bedroom is far too small. But more so than that I am absolutely in love with your camera! It is now on my Amazon wishlist and I shall begin saving up!

  12. I wish we have space in the house for me to have a blogging corner but alas, we don’t which is another reason why we are looking for a new home. Congratulations on your nomination, Corinne and I voted!

  13. I actually need to get a desk ๐Ÿ˜€ I love the organisation of your one Corinne ๐Ÿ™‚ & I actually am interested in getting a corner one now seeing yours!

  14. That planner is way cute! I like the layout of mine but it;s SO ugly ๐Ÿ˜€ Also, how the hell do you keep your desk so free of clutter? Mine’s covered in scraps of wrapping paper, sewing needles, postits… you name it!

  15. Aww wow I’m jealous. That’s a gorgeous bloggers desk. I don’t even have a desk! ๐Ÿ™ I just blog on the sofa haha. There’s one office in our house (for now) and it’s been commandeered by my other half. I’d love to make it a double office instead of a office/spare room, so two desks etc, but it’s not something we can do right now! Anyway, that is lovely and I loved this post, I love these types of post ๐Ÿ™‚ xo

  16. My office space is actually pretty tiny, although it is on the side of my room (it’s hard to explain, it should be a balcony but it’s closed off so it’s a tiny office space for me.) but it always looks like a mess because I’m always bringing in things I shouldn’t.

In it I just make sure to have my laptop, my tablet (so I can watch things on it while working), alot of notebooks (I write so many things on so many different things that it’s really organized inside of my mess). And alot of pens too. And usually a cup of tea or water.

I’m in love with your camera, it’s so pretty!

  17. Haha a green room to fit your blog style! I love that bulb lamp and i’m sure I saw that poster at the poster sale I was at the other week. I didn’t buy it but bought Friends posters instead. I’m regressing backwards not moving forwards in terms of style! xx
