We’re fast approaching Christmas, and then it will be the New Year. Again. I can’t below how fast this year has flown by. I know that’s such a cliche thing to say, but you know, the secrets to life are hidden behind the word cliche!
As #socialbloggers will be on boxing day next week, we wanted to talk about the new year this week as we don’t expect many people to attend on the 26th December. Though I will be scheduling a chat about how your Christmas has been. If you’re around, please do join! I’m not sure what I’m up to on boxing day evening but I’ll try to pop in and out. THATS WHAT SHE SAID. I’m not even sorry I just made that ridiculous joke.
So, this weeks chat was all about 2016 and what’s in store for you.
Me, well, I’m really excited about blogging and 2016 is going to be a focus on social media for me. I feel like I some how seem to focus on one thing a year, so far we’ve had.
- 2013: Finding my feet with blogging.
- 2014: Traffic, followers and reader growth.
- 2015: Improving content and getting 10 posts out a week (across 3 sites)
- 2016: Social media.
I’ve already started changing the way I use social media, and I’m going to be focusing on different types, one at time and seeing what I can do to change how I use it. Almost like having a different social media to focus on each month. Starting with Twitter, then Pinterest, then Facebook.. etc. I’m excited to start getting to know more about each platform and how I can use them to benefit my three blogs.
What are you most excited for in 2016?
Q1: What are you looking forward most for 2016?

Great discussion I have not set any goal with my blog or social media to busy setting goal with my personal life.
I love this! You have such an awesome idea going on.
My #1 is, I am looking most forward to finishing my first set of A Levels, and saying goodbye to exams for another year.
My #2 is I really want to plan a trip to Europe for the Summer time!
My #3 is one which is healthy, busy, and fun. Just stick to those three and I think it’d be awesome!
And finally, my #4 is Paper Towns! I love the freedom that the whole thing represents c:

I do need to set some blog goals and I think those will be to focus on SEO and also Pinterest. Have a wonderful Christmas!
Frankly I am not sure about 2016 in regards to blogging. I plan to further my yoga progress and trying to be an instructor has been in my mind for a long time so I might take a leap of faith towards that direction. I don’t even know how much longer I will continue to blog but for now I’m taking it one day at a time.
I really need to have a sit down with myself and assess what I want to achieve out of 2016! Great discussion Corinne x

I haven’t had any goals set yet, before I make any commitment I have to think about it thoroughly. I can add “learn how to use social media” to my 2016 goals, it is something I hardly do. In March or April, I will be travelling to Germany (for postponed wedding) and then will be moving back to the UK around May I guess. I hope 2016 will be a way better year than any other for all of us! x

I really like the idea of focusing on a different social media every month! I need to change the way I use social media…
It was interesting to read the goals. 2016 is the first year where I will set up some goals, it will be very exciting.
