This is a post that I write with quite the heavy heart. But as October is Infant Loss Awareness Month, it’s something I’d like to briefly mention before getting on with this post.

When I was approached by Magic Accessories, a handmade jewellery company, about reviewing some items from their poppy range, I knew it was something I wanted to do. Not just because I love poppies and have for years, but because a poppy symbolises something special for me and my family.

A few years ago, my sister-in-law was pregnant with a little girl. Quite far into the pregnancy, the baby unfortunately died in her womb and she had to go through something that I think of as such a distressing and soul destroying experience. She had to be induced to give birth to the little girl.

That little girls name was Poppy.

So now every time I see a poppy, the first thing that comes to mind is my little niece.

So yes, that is what poppies mean to me.

Poppy Jewellery.

Magic Accessories kindly sent me a few samples from their poppy range.

The range includes two broaches, two sets of earrings and two necklaces.

All the products across the different ranges are lovely – with vibrant colours and such attention to detail. The poppy range is of special focus, though, as Magic Accessories will be donating 10% of the proceedings from the poppy range will be donated to the British Legion until 15th November 2015.

You can also grab yourself a 25% discount if use use the code: CORINNE25 at the checkout. This code is valid until 15.11.2015.

  1. It’s too early for tears! Your poor sister-in-law and family, that’s such a traumatic thing to go through. Huge hugs to you all. No wonder these are such sentimental pieces to you.

    For me, it’s pink carnations.
