Glossybox July 2015

If you didn’t know that I love France, then you’re an idiot.

Actually, that’s not right. You’re probably not an idiot. You’ve probably just not read any of my posts about living in France or going to Disneyland Paris in June.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

When I opened the July Glossybox I was like OHOHSEOKHSROK GSEOKFAHSROHRSHRHS. Look at it. Would you just look at it? The beautiful box of Paris and France makes me want to eat it.

Let’s see it’s as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside…

July Glossybox 2015

When I opened the box, all the products were inside a plastic ziplock pouch. The inside packaging was the colours of France : red, white and blue.

Lollipops // Lip Balm Délicieuse

Glossybox July 2015 lollipops Lip Balm Délicieuse

I present to you, the only full sized product of the box. 🙁

At first I thought it was a lipgloss. If I never see another lipgloss again, I’d be quite happy. Awful things.

This is actually a lip balm. It has antioxidants, vitamin E and protects the skin from UV damage. It smells like shea butter.

I’m pretty meh about this.

£4.15 per tube

Teoxane Cosmeceuticals //Perfect Skin Refiner

Teoxane Cosmeceuticals glossybox Perfect Skin Refiner

This has hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate the skin and 10% glycolic acid which helps to resurface the skin. It also has calming ingredients to help reduce irritation.

You use it every other night and may experience a mild tingling sensation at first.

Sounds like it’s something similar to Alpha H’s Liquid Gold?

It’s a cream consistency and has a slight scent which just smells.. ‘clean’. Ha.

£70 for 50ml

Yves Rocher // Comme Une Evidence Eau de Parfum

Comme Une Evidence Eau de Parfum yves rocher glossybox 2015

This is quite a decent sized perfume sample.

It’s a lovely musky floral scent. It first smells sweet then you get a hit of musk. I’m not very good at describing scents so I’ll stop before I make it sound disgusting.

£24.50 full size.

Noxidoxi // Enhancing Serum Base

Noxidoxi Enhancing Serum Base glossybox

At 25ml, this isn’t a million miles away from the 30ml full sized.

This serum is great for hydrating, refining pores and has an antioxidant shield.

It’s a light cream that has a yellow tinge and smells slightly like honey/citrus.

£33.46 full size.

Glossybox Travel Pouch

I’m not a fan when Glossybox make something and put it in the box as if it’s one of the 5 products to sample.

It’s not introducing me to a new product or brand so meh.

They say it’s worth £3.99 but it’s not exactly for sale so poo. I DISLIKE IT.

So, the most exacting thing about the Glossybox was actually.. the box itself.

I’m looking forward to trying the skincare products but I would have loved to have seen some makeup in this box.

Next months box promises a full-size tube of  Manna Kadar’s lash primer. Let’s hope that box is better..

Did you like this box?

  1. The box looks beautiful ! Obviously I’m biased when saying that but well ˆˆ I only know the brand Yves Rocher but the lip balm looks really cute !

  2. Yep, they looks so cute Corrine, yet we have to face the reality that we need a bigger size than that hihi..
So let’s wait for your next month’s glossybox and see..

    Have a great day!

  3. Love the box! The little travel pouch could come in handy though 🙂 Love the perfume xx

  4. What a goregous box – I love France and am way too excited to be going in three weeks!

  5. A themed box sounds great. I’m too into lip balms so I might have squealed with happiness when a full size tube in sample box appeared in front of me.

  6. The box is beautiful and when I saw the first picture I was like I love it and need one in my life. So much potential and the contents is ok. Such a shame. Lucy x

  7. Will be interested to hear what you think about the skin refiner, I can’t decide if I love or hate Alpha H. Sometimes it seems to work on me, other times not at all

  8. This was hilarious, particularly because I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve like the packaging of an item more than the item itself haha. It’s a pity the inside of the box didn’t impress, though it sure is a pretty box….

Have a lovely week ahead, Corinne! 🙂

  9. As far as subscription boxes go, this one is certainly quite pretty thanks to that charming illustration on the box! Skincare always excited me more than makeup so I’d be curious to see what you think of these products.

    1. Really? I do like skincare but not really as samples as you don’t get the chance to see how it works long term.

  10. Hi Corrinne,

I think I came to exactly the same conclusions as you on this box – really not been very impressed with Glossybox recently and hoping for more make up next month too!

ps: I love your product photos – how do you get the background out of focus?

        1. Yeah do! What lens do you have? You can get the same effect with the standard kit lens but not as intense

  11. Receiving Glossybox is fun ( I think :P) so for it to be Paris themed is funner!
    Really nice !

  12. It’s a shame the contents didn’t live up to the packaging although I’m sure you’ll find a use for the lovely box!

  13. so cute! these boxes are getting more and more tempting.. if I had the money, I’d probably subscribe..
