Let’s talk about dedication for a bit.

I’m currently sat in my studio flat in Paris on a sunny Sunday morning, about to go to Disneyland. And I’m writing this post before I go so it will be up for Monday morning as usual.

I don’t know if this dedication or being too obsessed with the internet to be able to switch off.

Ha. Anyway, I’m having a wonderful holiday, by the way. You can check out my instagram if you want to see live updates. I’ve been abusing the hell out of it!

So, changes in blogging.

Blogging is an evolving thing, like most things. It’s become bigger and more brands are starting to realise the influence and reach that bloggers have.

The past few years, I’ve heard sayings thrown around the blogging community, such as blogging is dead. Or that blogging is going to be taken over by YouTube.

There’s no doubt that the YouTube community seems to be getting bigger and bigger, but I think blogging is, too.

Blogging seems to be something that’s taken a bit more seriously now. With more blog events, bloggers bringing out books, awards, coverage in magazines and bloggers even becoming the face of brands – I’m hoping this will only be a good things for bloggers and will inspire others to started their own space to share the things they love.

Anyway, Mickey mouse ain’t gonna wait for me forever so I better run!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

  3. I think that blogging is still just as huge as it was from the start. It’s just evolving in different ways and a lot of bloggers are doing more professional work rather than just blogging about anything. Vlogging is very good, though I don’t think I’m ready for any of that. I hope you keep enjoying your holiday ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  4. Blogging is definitely always changing & evolving.. and I suppose us bloggers have got to be versatile & willing to change with it!

  6. I too have heard about ‘blogging is dead’ but I disagree. I think it’s getting bigger and bigger to the point it’s hard to get noticed by anyone. It’s a tough market out there. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Enjoy your holiday, Corinne!

  8. Hope you are having an amazing time in Disneyland. I haven’t had my blog all that long but from a personal level I’ve certainly improved my photography and social media skills and now I’m learning how to use a GoPro -that could be a future guide for you Corinne, as you write such good ones!

  9. I agree with you! Blogger is taken more seriously now than ever, and I think that it’s just as valuable as a creative platform as youtube. Especially for photographers ๐Ÿ™‚ I think if you want to make a real go of it, it might be wise to have both, and integrate the content to engage a wider audience but for the humble blogger, there is a great community to be found in blogging ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you’re enjoying France! xx

  10. I always feel a little bit insulted on behalf of all of us when people say “Blogging is dead!” Er- no! I’ve been blogging just over 10 years now and it’s changed a lot over the last decade- definitely more pictures, I’ve seen more sponsored posts, more niche blogging etc. I definitely take better photos now even though I don’t have a posh SLR but I try a bit harder now! I like your blogging chats- it is great to see what different people say!

  12. Another great post Corinne, Well, I do not think that blogging is completed but has changed much from what it was in the beginning, I would say that there is now a kind of competition (at least in my area) stand out, even some bloggers become very mediatic, is the part I do not like I prefer old school blogging!
