This is an interesting review for you.
I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want whiter teeth.
Having stained teeth can be embarrassing. I know I always reach for a whitening formula when it comes to picking a toothpaste. I’m quite lucky in that my teeth are quite nice. They’re straight, they’re not too stained and they’re not something I have to worry about.
Though I did have some teeth struggles 18 months ago. I didn’t go to the dentist in around 7 years and one day I noticed something wrong with my teeth. I was so embarrassed and panicked. It seemed to come out of NOWHERE but was visible if I did my big, cheeky, cheesy grin.
I spent a few weeks being ashamed that I let my teeth get so bad, that I hadn’t been to the dentist and I was confident that if I went, they would tell me that all my teeth needed to be pulled out and I would have to wear false ones like my dad and brother.
Bad teeth run no my dads side of my family, you see.
Thankfully, I just had two cavities that were solved with a filling. The dentist was lovely. They didn’t judge me and were impressed that I had stopped smoking. Hurrah!
Wait, this story got out of hand quickly.
Point is – I know what it’s like to be ashamed every time you smile.
It’s not nice.

I was sent a Teeth Whitening kit to try out for myself. It’s been quite the adventure.
The kit came from America in a hard box. It was well presented and does look professional.
There are booklets that tell you exactly what you need to do.
Please be aware that one of the steps includes making your own moulds, sending it back to the US to have your trays made and then waiting for them to make the trip back. Considering it takes around 5-7 working days to get packagings from the US to the UK, this didn’t seem to take too long.
I was also kept well informed and communicated with throughout the process. I know that I’ve been sent this for review, but it gives me a feeling that the brand are great at communication and would be happy to help with any problems or concerns.
The service I personally received was very good.
So, the first part of the process.
Here’s where things get tricky!
You have to create the moulds of your top and bottom teeth.
There are instructions included on how to do this, also examples of common mistakes people make, such as not mixing the formula properly or not getting good impressions of the back teeth.
I was able to send a photograph of my finished impressions to ensure they looked okay to save me having to send again.
You get three sets of the formula to make two impressions incase one doesn’t come out right.
It’s not messy to create the plaster. You basically take the base paste and catalyst paste out of the pots. They’re a bit like putty, you then mix them together with your hands until it makes a solid blue colour.
Then you put them in the blue teeth trays and put them in your mouth ensuring your bite down enough to make an impression.
The paste tastes like mint. I’m not going to lie, it’s not pleasant to have them in your mouth. I’ve had moulds done at the dentist when I had braces and it’s similar. It’s not painful, but uncomfortable and hard to swallow.
Once you’ve made your impressions, you pop them in a pre-addressed envelope and send them back to the US.
If you live in the US, postage is free. If you’re outside of the UK, you’ll have to pay to send them back. It cost me around £5.
Ten days or so after, I got the custom made trays in the post.
They also sent me the plaster impressions they made of my teeth, which is something they don’t usually send out. It’s pretty cool to see what my teeth look like in 3D! Though they did suffer a bit of damage on the way across the pond.
In the package, there was a black plastic case with the custom made trays inside. They’re clear plastic moulds that fit perfectly to my teeth.
Using them is pretty simple – you put de-sensitising gel onto the trays first, then insert them for 15 minutes or so. Then you repeat the process with the teeth whitening gel.
You leave them in for 15 minutes up to 3 hours. If you have sensitive teeth, you might experience a bit of discomfort. I use them for around 30 minutes at a time as at that point, my teeth start to feel a bit sensitive.
The longer you keep them in, the faster stains will be removed.
After using this a few times, I’m pleased with the results and excited to be able to use this again in the future.
The whole process seemed really professional. Like I mentioned previously, I was impressed with the communication and helpfulness of the team.
