As some as you know, I currently share a house with two other girls who I’ve lived with for years.
One of them is going travelling this summer, so we need to look for a house for two rather than three.
It’s been a bit stressful as it’s hard to get time off together to view houses and when we did have the chance to view houses, none of them would let us view the houses as they wanted someone to move in sooner than we could. It was pretty doom.
On Tuesday, we booked in some viewings. After seeing a very disappointingly tiny apartment and being stood up by one letting agent who clearly forgot about us after we had spent 30 minutes driving through the centre of Leeds (dick), we had a house viewing.
I was already a little bit in love with the house from the pictures. I had my hopes held really high for this place. Beautiful wooden floors, a basement for my bike and it’s near my regular running routes.
We went to see it and it was beautiful! We both really liked it and decided straight away it’s what we wanted.
When you’ve spent months looking online for houses and viewed them in the past, you have an idea of what’s a good house and whats not. We knew that there probably wouldn’t be something a spacious in the same price range so called the agency up to say we wanted the house as soon as we got back in the car.
When we drove back home, we were filling in the application form and then two days later we had the phone call saying that the landlord had accepted our application!
I can’t wait! In less than 2 months we’ll be leaving this house, which I’m sad about because I love it, but this new house is fantastic and I’m going to use it as a great opportunity to have a good clear out!
May is turning out to be a pretty good month..
