(My life seems wrong. Running 13.1 miles then casually attending a fitness event? It’s fun. It’s really fun. But weird.)
Anyway, I had about an hour to kill between the marathon and the event. Which wasn’t enough time to go home and make myself look decent, so I ended up nipping into Wilko’s to take advantage of their cheap Essence range.
I just bought some basics that would do for the event.
I came out with 3 products.
The first was the essence all eyes on me mascara.
I liked this because the tube is tiny and I’ll probably take it to Paris with me in a few months.
It cost me all of £2 and works just as good as you’d expect a £2 mascara to work.
It applies well but it’s not something that’s going to get you loads of volume. It’s supposed to give extra curl which it didn’t do at all. I feel bad being negative about a £2 mascara though!
I have tried The Lash Curl mascara by Essence in the past which wasn’t as good as all eyes on me.
I bought the Essence 3D eyeshadow duo in 08 irresistible vanilla latte because the darker shade is similar to the shade dust from my Naked 3 palette. Which is basically fully gone. Woe.
I hate it when my favourite shades hit pan and I’m left with the rubbish ones. I’m tempted to repurchase the Naked 3 but feel a bit bad about it because I’ve got loads of some of the other colours left!
This is a pretty good dupe for it. Though it’s not as pigmented, it goes give a lovely shimmer and is only £2.30.
I also re-purchased the Essence Waterproof Eyeliner pen. I can’t recommend this eyeliner enough – which is a statement I hardly ever say.
It’s £2.80 and I used my last one for MONTHS and it didn’t dry out. The only reason I’ve had to buy a new one is because I lost my pervious one a couple of months ago. But then found it again last week.
Hi sods law, you’re a knob.
What do you think of the Essence range?
