I cannot believe it’s May. WHAT IS LIFE? It only seems like last week I was dressing up as Anna from Frozen for Christmas fancy dress. Now look where we are.
April has been a pretty cool month. Nothing major has happened, to be honest – things seem to just tick along nicely.
I’ve been doing well with training for my half marathon which is next Sunday! I’ve done a 10 and 11 mile long run and I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to bash out an extra two miles on the day.
Healthy eating is now just a way of life for me. I’m having lots of salads, fruit and healthy things and it just seems natural for me to reach for it. I eat when I’m hungry and stop when I’m full.
It’s that simple.
If I’m hungry, I’ll just keep eating but pick healthy stuff. I’m not trying to lose anymore weight but I’ve been dropping about a pound every two weeks. I’m expecting this to stabilise around now – I’ve lost 18lbs since the end of November!
I’ve done it slowly and I’ve shifted my focus towards fitness goals rather than weight loss goals which has helped a lot.
Taking on a 40 day challenge keeps me more motivated than setting a goal to lose a stone. It seems like I set a fitness goal and the rest all falls into place.
May has the potential to be a pretty great month for me – it’s the half-marathon on the 10th and I’ve got another couple of things up my sleeve which I can announce soon. I’m very excited.
If everything goes shit, then it could be the worst month of my life haha. But I’m thinking positive at the moment!
