Glossybox April 2015

The past two or three months, Glossybox has really impressed me. They’ve had some great items and it’s been great value for money.

My first impression of the April Glossybox wasn’t great. When I opened it, I was underwhelmed by what I found. It just felt like there were tiny products in a mass of tissue paper and a massive box. While I understand that big products aren’t always better – it always makes me wonder why they can’t send a smaller box.

These products would have easily fit inside a box that could have gone through my letter box. Then I wouldn’t have had to pick it up from the post office 3 days after it should have been delivered.

Nobody likes a missed parcel. Just sayin’.

The April Glossybox was themed around Hollywood looks. The box was stunning, I’ll give them that. And it was a beautiful peach colour. Let’s see what was inside..

Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser

Glossybox April 2015

This moisturiser is said to be a favourite of Hollywood stars since the 1950’s. As well as providing deep moisture, it can also remove makeup!

If this is true, it would be a great holiday stable. There’s nothing worse than taking loads of products on holiday, especially liquids!

Nougat London Southing Bath Pearls

Glossybox April 2015

At first I was a bit MEH WHO CARES about this product. But then I read the description and saw that a bath in this leaves a very subtle shimmer on your skin!

Perfect for a party or event. They also smell delicious.

Color Club Barely There Nail Varnish

Glossybox April 2015

I feel like I always get sent boring shades of nail varnish in Glossybox. Why can’t they send me a lovely mint green, or a neon orange?

Nude nails are supposed to be on trend this spring. But I already own nude nail varnish, but thanks anyway.

I’ve tried this brand before in a recent box and it chipped very quickly. I’m hoping this formula is a bit better.

POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen

Glossybox April 2015

I’m sure I’ve had a nail varnish by this brand before! Apart from that, I’ve never heard of them.

This is a soft, bendable black eyeliner to create that Hollywood eye flick with.

Is it just me, or have Glossybox been sending across a lot of eyeliners lately? I’m pretty sure I’ve got about 3 unopened already!

Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss

Glossybox April 2015

This is deemed the perfect Marilyn Red.

This is actually a lovely colour. The pigmentation is amazing and it’s so soft and easy to apply! It’s long lasting, softening and leaves a wonderful matte finish. Woo.

What are your thoughts on this months box?

  1. The box is cute and the products inside are good. In Poland I’ve never heard about these brands 🙂

  2. I’m really pleased with this months box 🙂 I love the nail varnish!

  3. Its not bad… I get one called My Envy Box in India, and sometimes it has really blah products. This month’s have been great though. BTW I’m the polar opposite of you. Mine sent me a lime green that I hate and I’d rather have nude instead. Cute stuff Shireen! I hope you get something from it

  4. This looks like a seriously great box, Corinne! The lipstick shade is really pretty!

  5. It’s so nice! I love Lord & Berry products. And I’d love to try Nougat, it is really interesting for me))

  6. I guess you get a mixed bag sometimes, some will be good because you really like the products others you won’t. This would be a not to bothered the bath is the only thing I would use Lucy x

  7. I was disappointed with this box. I don`t think the products matched the theme, except the lip pencil. They could have been more creative with such a great theme. Hopefully, the next box will be better.
