Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder

Other than hitting pan, when your powder comes out in one big clump, that’s a great indicator that you need a new one.

I had my old faithful Bourjois Eclat Mineral for about a year. I decided to replace it with a new product and I was looking specifically of a product with ingredients to help fight against break outs.

I’m a 28 year old with the skin of a hormonal adolescent.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder

The back of the Rimmel Clear Complexion powder reads:

Pure and shine-free finish for up to 5 hours. Clarifies skin thanks to PureSkin complex known to minimize skin breakouts. Controls shine and mattifies skin.

You can use it with or without a foundation, it’s very lightweight and provides a way to lighten red areas and give an even coverage. It’s great at preventing your skin from looking oily.

I would say that this is much better at keeping your skin matte than covering blemishes.

At £3.99, you can’t expect miracles but it’s a nice little every day powder that does what it says on the tin.

  1. I’m yet to even try powder to be honest, I’m a big fan of the dewy look and feel scared that powder would make my face look flat!? This looks really natural though.

  2. Never tried this but you look lovely! Thanks for sharing <3

  3. I use number 7 but I do find it wears off in the day – I might buy this to live in my handbag as an alternative. Do they have a pale shade Corrine?

  4. I use this powder daily, it’s so good for how cheap it is, but I really love it. I’ve used it on a daily basis for months and I have no interest in changing it anytime soon. Although, I don’t know if it’s just me and my clumsiness, but the packaging keeps breaking when it’s in my makeup bag, it’s happened about 4 times and I have to keep buying new ones.

  5. Your skin looks great so you can’t argue with those results! I always need a mattifying powder because my skin is hella oily, but I like to use a translucent one so I’m not adding more color!

  6. I think I have a powder that I use to help my makeup stay in place all day. But I don’t really use it too often-only during special occasions. Love the outcome though… Considering looking into it 🙂

  7. I find powder near impossible to use, it just seems to move all my foundation no matter what tool I use to apply it and undo any work my concealer has done. I would love to know the secret because I hear it makes everything last longer :/ x

  8. Looks good on your skin! The shade is perfect and sounds like a good product. I’ll check it out 🙂

  9. This powder looks really lovely on you, Corrine! I rarely use powder thanks to my dry skin but when I do, I use bounce in between Chanel pressed powder, a Rimmel and another from Physician Formula.

  10. This sounds like a good basic wear powder. I’m currently using one of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders.

  11. It gives a natural look. I’ve only used Etude’s powder and it’s been just fine. I’ll need to look for this.

  12. The powder looks good on you! I’m sorry to hear you still have breakouts at 28, I get them on my chin very often and it’s driving me crazy!!

  15. Sounds like a great affordable find. I have problems with powders clinging onto dry patches, but I’ll give it a try 🙂 Thanks for the rec!
