We’re all told regularly about the importance of networking. The once popular saying ‘write it and they will come‘ has been thrown out the window to make room for the era of self-promotion and social networks.
With so many happy bloggers out there trying to share their message and views on the world, it’s not as easy to get noticed through the power of content and organic search alone.
You need to network.
There’s so many social media networks out there, I always think that it’s much better to put your time and focus into one or two, than to try and take on too many.
I’ve already wrote a handful of posts about networking, so here are some of them:
7 ways to leave great blog comments.
15 ways to use Twitter to increase blog traffic.
How to get more engagement on Facebook.
Now on to the chat.

What are your networking tips?
I always share my latest posts on all social media platforms I find that twitter is more engaging for some reason.

I share my posts on all my networks, but I do have ones that I enjoy more than others, like Instagram or Tumblr. Twitter used to be a favourite, but I’ve gotten a bit bored of it lately. xx
This was such a fun chat. Talking to other blggers and social networking are two of my favourite things! 🙂 x
Really enjoyed being part of this weeks chat. Instagram is by far my favourite as I find it easy to manage but I really want to get into using Twitter more.

We just recently got twitter and we love it! It is great to talk to bloggers outside of blogging.

I try to share my post if I have the time since I’m at work is pretty hard. Happy Monday.
It’s so crazy how everyone is responding differently about the social media sharing, not everything works for everyone 😉 xo
Networking is tough for me. I don’t have many followers on Twitter or Instagram. I honestly don’t know how to get more followers. Oh, well.. but I do somehow share my post on FB, Insta and Twitter
This post is really helpful for me – I don’t use Twitter at all really and I really should start! I have the account but just don’t bother with it! Interesting to see how many people use it and find it so helpful to them x
You should start! The phone app makes it really easy 🙂
really interesting post 🙂

This was an interesting chat! Trying to be better about networking on social media is one of my goals for this year.
Networking is essential for us to be noticed by brands and bloggers and for us to get more readers!
Keep in touch

Networking is indeed important. On that note: you can follow me through Bloglovin’, Pinterest, Instagram and on Facebook. 😉 lol. Thanks for your comment on my blog 🙂
xoxo Sarah
I really like these posts you do 🙂
Facebook has worked the best for me , Twitter hasn’t done anything for me and Pintrest I can not understand lol. ox
Oh really? What are your Facebook tips? Most people can’t seem to get along with it!
As always a great chat. Knowing what social network to be on and what to use it for is a little overwhelming. It takes up lots of time. I now have limited it down to just a few that I use regularly. Would love to know how to use google +Lucy x
I do not use Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for my blog : have more and more readers is not my goal !! 🙂
great chat.. informative as usual.
You do realise how much of a star you are for these posts?! Just off to make a cup tea and sit and this thoroughly!

Very nice tips! I wonder if you have an fb group because I want to widen my network especially to other bloggers in a different country.
Great post, as always! What Facebook groups are you all part of? I’d love to join some 🙂
Great post 🙂 I’d say commenting on posts really helps! People usually comment back etc and you build up relationships that way 🙂 xx
