The MeasuPro OX100 is a handy device that will measure your pulse and oxygen levels.
It’s a quick test that you simple turn on, put your finger in (that’s what she said!) and wait a few seconds for it to calculate your pulse and oxygen levels.
I find this great for working out as it helps to see what my pulse is and monitor if I’m in fat burning zone or cardio zone.
You reach fat burning zone when you read 55% – 70% of your maximum heart rate and it basically means that your are burning most calories for fat. A good zone to be in when you’re wanting to lose a bit of weight.
You’ve probably seen on the machines at the gym the pulse rate monitors that tell you if you’re in the cardio zone or fat burning zone.
It might seem a bit confusing. But basically being in the cardio zone means you’re burning most fuel from carbohydrates and being in the fat zone means you’re burning most fuel from store fat. Although you burn more calories in the cardio zone.
It’s also great for measuring how fast it takes your heart rate to recover after exercising. If you’re heart rate recovers faster, it means you’re getting fitter.
It comes with a case that you can attach to a belt or lanyard to take out and about for quick and easy readings.
This devise also measures your oxygen saturation. To be honest, I’m just using it for the pulse rate but knowing your oxygen saturation is good for people with asthma and other such breathing/lung diseases as a good way of monitoring your levels throughout the workout. It can detect other underlying diseases, but let’s leave that to the experts, shall we?
I’ve been sent two of these babies, on to use and review myself, and another to give away.
