Well, Glossybox has been upping their game this month, giving me 5 full-sized products instead of the usual 2 or 3. Ain’t that making it a bit harder for me to unsubscribe!

The theme for this months box is ‘Fresh Start Must-Haves’. I was quite excited to open this box and I’m even more excited to try some of these out!

Let’s see what was inside!

Glossybox January 2015

The box itself is the usual pale pink box with black tissue inside. I do like it when they do the different boxes, but a box is a box I guess.

Kueshi Natural & Pleasant Cosmetics // Revitalizing Face Toner

kueshi revitalizing face toner

It’s pink I love it.

I’m a bit WTF about the brand. This toner is said to re-balance modern skin with clever alchemy of natural ingredients. Ohhhhh.

I love alchemy. I was all over that shit in Oblivion and Skyrim. I once managed to make a potion that cured my vampirism. It took me days to find the right ingredients though. Even with the help of walkthroughs. I mean, I did like being a vampire and all, but I was getting fed up of having to sneak into peoples houses at night and be all neck sucky.

This contains calendula, chamomile and aloe vera. And while it’s probably not going to cure you of any curses that turn you into a mythical creature, it will calm and rehydrate your skin.

Nicka K New York // Colourluxe Powder Blush

Nicka K New York // Colourluxe Powder Blush

LOOK HOW CUTE THIS IS. It’s like, a pot and then a powder puff applicator and then dab it on your face and it all puffs out.

Cool.

It’s a loose powder blush without the mess. Nuff said 😀

MeMeMe // Eye Line Pencil in Clay

MeMeMe // Eye Line Pencil in Clay

I’ve had a highlighter by MeMeMe before in a previous box, but I never really tried it. I must put it in my ‘to review’ box so I can give it a go and see what I think of it.

This pencil is a soft, long lasting product and apparently clay shade suits all skin tones and eye colours. It’s suggested to use it on the lower lash line and smudge slightly for a bit of a smokey, sexy, worn-in look.

Jelly Pong Pong // All Over Glow

Jelly Pong Pong // All Over Glow

This brand has an awesome name. AWESOME. I kind of want to buy more things from them just because of their name. That’s some good branding.

Anyway, this oil free product is great for problem skin and is packed with micronised pearlescent pigments that catch the light, giving a radiant glow instead of a glitter effect.

I’m intrigued but I’ve just banned myself from using this until I’ve tried and reviewed the MeMeMe highlighter. Doom.

Naked Lips // Organic Lip Balm Superfruits

Naked Lips // Organic Lip Balm Superfruits

Since I’ve been wearing lip colour a bit more lately, I’ve felt the need for balms. Usually, I’d be very whatever about lip balms but I’m starting to appreciate them.

This is a 100% natural formula full of oils from the most anti-oxidant rich fruits and berries to keep your lips soft.

This might be a first but.. I’ve not really got anything negative to say about this box.

I love it. I feel like I’m going to get used out of every single product and I can’t wait to try some and even review some in detail here.

Hurrah!

Which one do you like the best?

  1. This looks a good box I can see why they have suddenly decided to email me loads about having no payment method any more (I unsubbed after a few poor boxes) however I just don’t think the items are enough to make me join back up!

  2. The contents of this are fab! The powder blush really does look adorable and the All Over Glow sounds like my sort of product 🙂

  3. I would love to try the blush. A friend of mine is subscribed to this box and gave me the Jelly Pong Pong; I’ve used it a couple of times and I like the glowy effect it has.

  4. You’re hilarious! This is my first time here and I love your blog. Anyways, it’s great that you’ve got 5 full-sized products this time in your Glossybox.

  5. Looks like you got yourself a very good box and wow, 5 full size products? Can’t beat that! I hope you do a review on the toner, Corinne, I’m currently on the lookout for a good toner so would really love to hear your thoughts on the one you received.

    1. You can’t! I’ll review the toner but it’s in a bit of a queue as I have other products to go through first. Sad haha.

  6. Having more full sized items sounds like an excellent marketing strategy, especially as I’ve started seeing many unhappy customer complaints for Glossybox lately (missing items etc). I love the concept of beauty boxes, so I’m glad you liked this month’s one. The Nicka K New York/ Colourluxe Powder Blush looks so lovely and cute!! 🙂

    1. I think it’s okay now, I believe it was a problem with the browsers and not my blog according to research I did!

  7. How oily is the lip balm? I’m using a Vaseline one at the minute and it’s leaving oily traces on my water bottle…

  8. This looks like a great box and pleased that it was disappointing. I really love the powder puff such a cute idea Lucy x

  9. i’ve not signed up/kept a subscription box service for a while now but every now and then i get tempted to sign up again, i just find they’re so inconsistent with their boxes and one would be great and the next two would be really average. that said, this one looks like a pretty good box, and it’s hilarious that brand is called jelly pong pong, hahaha.

    1. You’re right. But then I’d be so sad if I unsubbed and then people got really great products in the one I missed, haha!

  10. I definitely the kind of person that would buy a product called ‘Jelly Pong Pong’ just for the name alone!

Will you be continuing to subscribe into this year? Overall, do you think the money you’ve spent over the year has been worth it for the products you’ve received and you’ve then used?
I’d be tempted to get something like this, but I’m not keen on spending money and getting products I won’t use. I don’t mind trying the products, it’s more about the brands not being cruelty free and then I wouldn’t even try it so I’d loose out straight away. Did that even make sense…

  11. Very tempted to subscribe, have long have you been subscribed for? Would you say it’s been worth it overall?
