#socialbloggers 43 – Your 2014

#socialbloggers (6)

With 2014 in it’s final weeks, I wanted to host a chat on the recaps of the year.

This year has been an interesting one for me, there’s some monthsΒ that have been amazing and I’ve done some fantastic things, and there’s some things I’ve not managed to do. Boo hiss.

In 2014 I got a new job, ran three 10k races, went to Florida for the holiday of a lifetime and really put 100% into this blog.

What I didn’t do so well: fitness, which might make you raise your eyebrows as you’ve just read I ran in some races. Thing is, I would only start running a month before, then run the race, then stop for a few months. My intention was to keep on going and improving, which I didn’t really manage to do. I gained weight after I stopped smoking in 2014 and it felt like a battle to lose it again. I’ve only really started to get serious about losing weight and upping my fitness in the last few weeks, which you can read all about on my weekly update posts on my fitness blog.

2014 was the year of blogging for me. I’m hoping 2015 will be the year of fitness…

Those tweets are amazing! I love the community you’ve built. And I’m sure 2015 will be the year of fitness, I mean we can only focus so much on one thing at a time right? πŸ™‚

Some amazing things… And honestly, don’t stress out about fitness so much – typing also counts as a physical activity, you know. πŸ™‚

Congratulations on all of the things you’ve achieved this year and it was so much fun to read through other’s responses to your questions via your social blogger chats. I’m hoping 2015 will see more happen for me than 2014, mainly because 2014 saw the hard graft and so seeing that effort pay off would be incredible! πŸ™‚

Always love reading people’s answers! The biggest thing for my blog was getting a .com url and switching to a self-hosted blog! It kinda killed me on viewers/day and followers since the switch but I’m working on it still! My photography has gotten better and it is something I am proud of πŸ™‚ Thanks for a great year!

But at least you’ve made the switch now! I’m so glad I moved to wordpress and I wish I had done so sooner.

You put us all to shame, I had lots of New Years resolutions and I simply haven’t done them. I do need to get fit in 2015 I am currently the biggest I have ever been. Healthy eating will definitely be on the list Lucy x

I actually loved this post and going through all the questions and answers!

The blogging community really is great but I do think there’s a whole bunch that can ruin it for everyone which is a shame, for me it’s all about helping and networking with other bloggers, at the end of the day – we’re all the same! πŸ™‚
