Degustabox December 2014

Degustabox came early this month, like an early Christmas present. It’s usually delivered around the 25th, so I guess that could have been complicated with all the bank holidays and such!

Frylight // Infuse Chilli

Degustabox December 2014

I’ve used the original fry light before, an alternative to oil while frying things but I’ve never tried this chilli flavoured one. I’m going to enjoy experimenting with this and stirfries to see if I can taste the difference!

£2 per bottle.

Degustabox December 2014These Chocolate Leibniz’s have been featured before in the box, it’s continental chocolate wrapped around biscuit. There was also a packet I’ve never tried before, a caramel version which has caramel between the biscuit and chocolate.

£1.79 per packet

Eisberg // Riseling

Non-alcoholic wine is probably wasted on me, to be honest. If I was going to not drink, I’d much prefer a cup of herbal tea or a diet drink!

For those of you that are interested though, these come in Chardonnay, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling and only have 24 calories per serving. Great if you love wine but don’t want the alcohol!

I thought these were energy drinks to start with, yet they’re premium mixes that are sugar-free and are made to perfectly compliment certain spirits.

  • Raspberry & Orris for Vodka
  • Cucumber & Apple for Gin
  • Pear, Spice & Lime for Rum
  • Ginger &  Lemongrass for Bourbon

I think these looks fab and would make a great gift with mini bottles of spirits! I’m going to save these for NYE I think 🙂

£1.50 per can.

The Chia Co

I’ve seen these around before, the chia seeds are VERY expensive, I think around £6 a tub in Tesco!

I was sent a shot of chia seeds and also some mixed berry oats, which are a great breakfast food that includes wholegrain oats, chia seeds, fruit and coconut oil – all you do is add water.

Pukka Herbs // Clean Green

Green tea was always something I wanted to love, but didn’t. I found the taste bitter and hard to force down. Recently, I’ve been enjoying it – especially green tea blended with ginger. It’s so delicious!

I’ve never had a lemon flavoured green tea before, but I know they are popular so I’m hoping this will be lovely!

Bonne Maman // Coarse Marmalade

I have a joke I have a joke!

What did the baby chick say to the other baby chick when it’s Mum laid an orange?

Wait for it..

Look what MAMA-LAID.

LOLZ. That is my favourite joke.

Now that’s out of the way – I love marmalade and prefer it on my toast to jam. This thick cut marmalade is fresh and zingy and can also be used in recipes.

Kent’s Kitchen // Brazilian Moqueca Capixaba

I have no idea what this meal is – but Kents kitchen have a variety of meal kits with the herbs, oils, spices and pastes ready to go in hand shot pots, all you need to do is add meat and the rice/pasta dependant on which meal kit you have to cut out all the fiddly chopping of herbs and spices!

£2.50 each.

Popchips // Barbeque

If it wasn’t for crisps, I’d probably be two stone lighter. They are easily my downfall and my frienemy. These light potato chips are baked and have less than 100g per service for a guilt free alternative!

They’re free of fake flavourings and colourings or make for a delicious treat.
