Firstly – I’d like to apologies for the timing issues. Noor lives in Pakistan and they didn’t change their clocks like us lot in the UK! It’s nobody’s fault – just one of those things that happens – sometimes and because I was at work I didn’t realise! Normal service will resume this week and #socialbloggers will be at 6pm GMT as usual 🙂
This weeks topic was all about passions. Things you love, goals you have and how you get to them.
My main passions are blogging and running.
The thing I love about blogging is writing. I’ve always been a bit of a writing nerd – I started many novels as a child, wrote short stories and in my teens I went through a phase of adoring poetry – both reading and writing. I was writing all the time and spent a lot of time reading and critiquing/praising others poems and short prose. I guess blogging feels natural to me as I’ve had some form of online journal nearly all my adult life. Whether it be a blog, a diary thread on a forum of the journal function within Deviant Art.
I work hard at blogging by creating content – both writing about things I enjoy and writing things for the benefit of others. I love that feeling of publishing a post I’m really proud of.
My ultimate goal is to make enough money consistently every month that I’m able to go part time at work, so I can spend more time blogging. Although I am realistic and realise this goal might not be reached in a matter of weeks or months.
My ultimate goal with running is to run a marathon. But I have serious doubts about my ability to do this! Mainly because of the time takes to really train for one. My goal this year was to run three 10k races, which I completed yesterday by running the Leeds Abbey Dash.
Next year, I’m aiming to run the same 10ks again, plus Leeds half marathon in May. Oh God, I’ve announced in on my blog so there is no going back now.
Half marathon.
I’m going to do it in 2015.
Doom.
Tell me about your passions and goals 🙂

What a cool accomplishment with running awesome pictures.

This is great. Super accomplishment, I don’t like running, haha. My passions are Art, music, travelling, activism, love and just creating really. Happy Monday doll xx

That explains to confusion over time then!
I have tried running but I hated it, just not for me. I have a huge passion for reading, used to have a huge cupboard full of books back in Malaysia, I donated all of it when we migrated. I do hope to find time to read again but I think that will probably happen only when the little one is older. My recent goal is simple, believe it or not, it’s to join one of the twitter blogger chats. I’ve tried but so far the little one and sometimes hubby always asking for attention at that moment. LOL!
Reflection of Sanity
haha oh dear – hope you manage to get a to a chat soon!

I love painting, that’s my passion, but I also love all things beauty, so I’m a professional make up, hair and nail artist so I would love to have my own business of making other people beautiful!!!
I’ve love to be good at painting!
Good luck in reaching your goals, how amazing would it be to have more time to blog? My goals are finishing my make up college course, be hired by a make up company and hopefully get my blog off the ground and maybe even reach 1k followers!
Oh I know! I’d love to have more time, I don’t really get a lot of down time because I’m either working, blogging or exercising.
I love these social blogger posts – I think that these area great way to get to know other things about bloggers. My passions are definitely books and blogging.

Thank you!
Having goals to work towards definitely goes along way keep us motivated. Good luck with yours!
Pao Wong’s tweet made me giggle! I love this post. Every single one of our dreams is achievable. If we were to give up on them, we would just be floating…and that’s even more pointless than moving forward towards dreams – even if you didn’t end up achieving everything exactly as you planned!
Your writing is amazing, so coherent and concentrated, and I always look forward to it! You always publish things that are useful for others, too. Which can be a pretty big sacrifice. I actually read a great quote yesterday, it went:
“If it’s easy to read, a lot of effort went into writing it”.
Which I think is so true! And it’s something which a writer really needs to learn to be humble about before they can expect to be truly content with what they write + what they hear back about their writing.
And haha I totally relate to you – I’m currently in my ‘adorning poetry’ phase! Maybe it’s the heartbreak…or maybe it’s because I’ve always been a bit like this too. Either way, it keeps me sane and I love it!
Have a great week <3
Ha, poetry is wonder, it’s a great thing when you find a poem that just hits the right notes!
Ooh I’m in this! Lol. x
