glossyboxnovemberHi.

It seems Glossybox decided to start adding the information card into their box again, maybe they got too many complaints about it being missing. Or maybe the got fed up of bratty bloggers like me bitching about it *meek smile*. I know they sent an e-mail telling everyone, but who reads e-mails? All e-mails from companies go straight to my junk folder!

I opened this months box and felt a pang of disappointment. You know that feeling when the box is massive but all the products are tiny. The box just looked overwhelming in comparison so it gave me an initial impression that the box wasn’t very good.

Let’s see what I got. Dun dun DUUUUUUNNNNN!

Natural World // Coconut water hydration & Shine Weightless Hair Oil

glossybox november 2014Doom. That’s a long title for a product!

I’m sure you’re not stranger to coconut oil and it’s amazing, multiple benefits. It’s somewhat of a wonder product that’s great for skin, hair, weight loss and much more.

This oil contains organic coconut extract to add shine and hydration to your hair. You can use it either after shampooing on wet hair, or after you’ve styled to control frizz and add shine. It smells lovely.

£9.99 for 100ml

Monu Skincare // Firming Fiji Facial Oil

glossybox november 2014This is a firming and toning oil you can use both morning and night to add moisture. You can use it overnight for an intensive treatment instead of a night cream.

It smells very herbally. If that’s a word. I don’t think it is because my spell checker has underlined it. Doom.

£26 for 100ml

Burt’s Bees // Lip Shine

glossybox november 2014This is a… lip gloss.

I can hear you all gasp and say ‘Oh no, Corinne got another lip gloss!’

If you’ve been following me for a few months, you might have noticed that there are two products I hate getting in beauty boxes.

  1. Hand cream.
  2. Lip gloss.

I just hate it! It’s so sticky and messy. My hair always gets stuck too it and it reminds me of 12 year old girls. I’m not even going to try this because.. lip gloss.

It was a full size product too. FML.

£6.99.

H20+ // Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment

glossybox november 2014This is a oil free treatment. You apply it to slightly damp skin, then let it soak in for 5 minutes. After that, you massage in the excess.

It’s supposed to hydrate and minimise the appearance of fine lines.

£27.50 for 50ml

Lollypops Make Up // Eye Pencil

glossybox november 2014Okay, now we’re talking. A full size product of something I like! This is a retractable pencil that claims to be deep in colour and also last a long time.

I love retractable pencils because I always lose the sharpener!

I’m going to try this when my liquid eyeliner runs out. Which should be any day now because I swear I’ve been using it for months!

€14

glossybox november 2014 So there you have it, the November Glossybox. I’m a bit disappointed with it – mainly because of the lip gloss! I am looking forward to trying the rest of the products, so I think I’ll use 4 out of 5 of the products, which is pretty good really. I can’t figure out why I’m so disappointed though! Maybe it’s because the last two boxes have been amazing and this one has teeny tiny products in a massive box.

First impressions are everything, guys.

  1. Oh, I’m sorry that this box was superb. I also don’t like lipglosses. Why would anyone put something sticky on their faces?!

  2. I would love to try thze Burt’s Bees lip tint – well basically I’d love to try all of their products. I hope I’ll be able to buy some of them soon when I get a job.

  3. Totally get where you’re coming from with the lip gloss/lotion thing. I used to get subscription boxes myself but have given up on it upon realizing that I had accumulated too much junk, haha! I would like to try that eyeliner since I myself lose sharpeners as well 🙂

    1. Ha, yeah there is a lot of junk I’ve got to get through. Almost feel like cancelling until I’ve used what I’ve got and reviewed it – but I’ll get jealous when I read about other peoples!

  4. I’m with you on lip gloss…way to much work for me! That pencil does look like a good one. Let us know how it works out!

  5. I feel like an information card is a must for subscription beauty boxes. It’s good they started including them again.

  6. Hmm not sure this cuts it after your amazing previous boxes looks a little thin on the ground but maybe because they have higher quality products. I really like Burt’s bees lip balms but not sure about lip gloss Lucy x

  7. Omg I really need to get on the glossy box band wagon – I love how it’s a surprise each time!

You’ll have to let me know how the oil for fine lines works – I’ve been looking for something for ages!

  8. Ugh! I hate lip gloss too well, except for NYX butter glosses, there’s something nice about those. I am a little disappointed with my November Ipsy bag too, not too impressed really. I do like the items that you got though, I personally think it’s great and can I request a further review on the H2O Hydrating Treatment? Dry skin here and I am always on the lookout for products that helps with hydration.

    1. I’ll review it if there’s enough uses out of it to get an accurate feel for it, it can be really hard with samples sometimes if they’re tiny!
