This months Glossybox theme was pop art. Let’s take a moment to admire the amazing box, shall we?
Okay – now that’s out of the way, we can get to the products. This was probably one of the better boxes I’ve had. Although I was hoping and expecting for a bit more colour as that’s what the leaflet in the box hinted at last month. I was expecting some bright eye shadow or lipstick. Sad. It’s still a fab box though, let’s have a gander.
October Glossybox 2014
CIATÉ LONDON PAINT POT // £9 for 13.5ml
This range has loads of bright colours and boasts it’s amazing pigmentation – just one coat should do the job. I wonder if I’ll be impressed. I do love this colour and am super sad mad about not being able to wear nail varnish at work!
ÊTRE BELLE COSMETICS LIPLIFT PEEL // €12.95 for 15ml
You just massage a small amount into your lips, leave for a minute and then wipe off with cotton pads.
I tried it but don’t think I liked it. It felt like I had sand on my lips and I can’t say I felt much difference afterwards! It was annoying to have to leave it on and felt a bit unnatural.
RIMMEL LONDON BB CREAM MATTE // £6.99 for 30ml
This 8ml sample is probably enough to give me an impression of if this will work for me. I do love BB creams and when my current one has ran out, I might give this a go. It’s a 9-in-1 beauty balm and it has salicylic acid, which is a plus for me, because my skin is a brat.
NUXE CRÈME FRAÎCHE DE BEAUTÉ MASK // £19.50 for 50ml
SO SUSAN COSMETICS FLUTTER MASCARA // £14.95 for 4ml
Woo, more full sized products! This is the second time I’ve heard of this brand, I had a blusher in one of my previous glossyboxes that I’ve been using almost daily since I got it, so I’m excited to try this. Pity there’s about 4 mascara in the queue ready for me to open next! I think I have enough mascaras to last me the next year.
This is a black mascara to help you get that volume that all mascaras promise, but I’ve not seen any provide. Is this the one?
YVES ROCHER FRANCE QUELQUES NOTES D’AMOUR // £33 for 30ml
The official description of the scent goes like this:
This scent encapsulates the feeling of falling in love through fusing notes of damascus rose, guaiac wood and patchouli.
So, there ya have it. The October Glossybox. This was a good one, I can’t lie. I’m impressed and I feel like I’ll use every one of these products – even the perfume, which is something I don’t usually say about boxes! GO GLOSSYBOX! After a few months of utter wank, you’ve upped your game and they’re getting better and better. Don’t disappoint me next month, please!
Tell me what you would most like to try.
