A few weeks ago, I was sent some diet pills to try. After my holiday in Florida, I was feeling a little frumpy and looking back at photos of myself made me squirm. I’ve tried diet pills in the past, but mainly natural ones like Apple Cider Vinegar or herbal slimming pills.

I was sent two bottles:

My Experience.Re:Active Diet Pills review

So, I started taking 1 capsule per day as directed, then upped until 2 and then was taking 3 per day.

I was exercising 2-4 times per week, which was mainly 3-5 mile runs as I was training for Leeds 10k. I was also eating really well – a lot of fruit and salad. My breakfast was mainly a bowl a fruit, sometimes I would have some whole grain cereal. If I was at work for breakfast (around two mornings a week) I would eat poached egg with beans on toast.

Dinner was usually something like a salad or stir fry and I would have fruit as a snack. Alcohol was consumed around 1 evening per week.

I initially lost 4lbs over the first week, then I hit a bit of a wall. I seemed to be losing and gaining the same 3lbs over and over again. I upped my calories intake, I lowered it, I changed my workouts, but nothing seemed to work. I was getting frustrated because it felt like I was doing everything right, yet the weight was not shifting.

I’m really disappointed because I really wanted these to work for me. I read the reviews on amazing and most people said that they really helped with weight loss! I guess not everything works for everybody! I just can’t believe that they didn’t work as all the reviews I’ve seen are positive and I was eating well and exercising.

While this tablets did give me an energy boost and helped me during workouts, they didn’t make any difference at all to my weight.

Back to the drawing board it is then, as I still have a few lbs I want to shift!

  1. Not keen on diet pills, mainly because I think to keep the weight off it has to be a change in lifestyle. I would love a quick fix sadly no one has invented one. In the last year I have put on weight that I need to shift, this will have to be through diet and exercise. Sucks. Lucy z

  2. I bloody love reading an honest review! Good work! I’m always a bit cynical about things like diet pills, I kind of think that if they were that good, everyone would be taking them. Xx

  3. – drink lots of water; water retention could be contributing to why you can’t seem to shift the pounds
    – have a balance plate of food, 1/3 to 1/2 of your plate should be non-starchy fruit or veg, then the rest of the plate should be meat/fish/other source of protein and some carbs

    xx

  4. Diet pills scare me, I just don’t like the idea of taking a ‘magical’ pill to shed the excess weight, it doesn’t sit right with me!

We all hit a bit of a plateau when loosing weight but keep doing what you’re doing and it’ll all work out, don’t loose heart and remember the weight won’t drop of overnight!

Being happy and healthy is what’s important!

  5. I’m not a fan of weight loss pills, I think they’re more a money making scheme than actually helping because they just aren’t a long term solution. I wish they were though because I’d be straight on that bandwagon! hah. You have a lovely figure though, so don’t overly stress about losing weight! x
