Glossybox – June 2014 Review

It’s that time of the month again, Glossybox time =) It’s always a plus to come home to a Glossybox instead of that ‘sorry, I missed you’ red slip from the post man. I remembered seeing the e-mail letting me know that my June Glossybox would be with me soon, but totally forgot until I laid my eyes on it!

After how great the May Glossybox was, I decided not to cancel this month! Let’s see what goodies were in store for me!

The Products

Glossybox June 2014 Review

got2b – Rise n Shine Souffle

This is a styling gel that is light weight and claims not to weigh your hair down. It has a slight floral smell but smells mainly like hair product. It is supposed to create shine and a silky texture. I’ll probably not find out because I never use hair styling products like this. This was a bit naff for me, to be honest.

TeezTrend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush

This is an applicator for eyeshadow and eye cream. It feels so so so soft and it’s already in my makeup bag. Or draw. (Or.. pot thing that is in my draw that keeps my makeup slightly organised). I love the pattern on the brush handle!

So Susan Cosmetics Universal Blush
OOOOOHHHH. This is an adorable colour. It has such a lovely shimmer and has also found it’s way into my current favourites! It’s supposed to be universal, meaning that it’s flattering on any skin tone and is also really good for your skin, reducing redness, improving elasticity and protects against the sun. I’m REALLY happy with this product and glad that I got the full size in this months Glossybox!

Nail 3-in-1 base/topcoat % nail strengthener
I use nail varnish all the time but surprisingly never use a base coat or a top coat. Mainly because I’m lazy and waiting for one layer to try is bad enough, without adding an extra two steps in! You apply this before colour, then again after so it’s a base and top coat all in one! I’ll give this a go the next time I change my nails!

Rituals.. Gi Gong – Spray
This smells so nice! It reminds me of summer. It’s infused with white lotus and yi yi ren (whatever the fuck that is) and is a 24 hour anti-perspiration. It is quite pricy though for such a small amount! I’m not sure if I like it that much. Although if it was the same price range as standard deodorants, I would probably opt for this!

THE END.

So, on the surface this box looks like it was going to be a disappointment, but when I got through it, I actually am happy with it. I love the blush and the bursh, I’m indifferent to the nail product and spray, but I know I’ll use them. The only thing I won’t use is the hair styler as I just don’t use that type of product at all.

What do you think of the June Glossybox?
