@bloggerforums @NoorsLense nope, although I have only been blogging a couple months
Interesting post! Good to read different opinions in the twitter chat! 🙂
I’ve been lucky enough to be approached by a few PR people, but I say no more often than I say yes. Some pitches rub me the wrong way, or some brands I don’t see a benefit from working on. My blog is only a hobby though, sharing what I wear every day, so it’s rare to find something that fits nicely with that I guess 🙂

another super interesting topic from you guys! these are the best. i’ve been getting approached by a bunch of companies that don’t fit my brand/blog. i feel like it’s better to apply for campaigns on your own. these twitter hashtags will be really useful!

What’s a PR? From the discussion I think I have a vague Idea, but I’ll spare you the list of all things I thought of that could be abbreviated by the letters P.R. before giving up and answering anyway. (In my case maybe it would have stood for Panty Representative)
I suspect I’ve never been approached by a ? because I have always made it crystal clear that I would not accept or have anything to do with any compensation, emolument, gift, prize etc.. with respect to my blogging. Run-on sentence alert! I do give free links to lingerie companies, retailers and manufacturers and sometimes give over-enthusiastic reviews of full briefs I like on my lingerie and fashion review blog at http://www.full-brief-panties.blogspot.com/ and YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/user/misterpantybuns, but that is due to my love of lingerie and not for gain.
Sorry I keep missing the #SocialBloggers Twitter chats. I tend to have appointments at that exact time. What does the UHT in UHT milk stand for? The Degustabox contents look tasty and the cross-eyed cow on the bag is cute.
So interesting to learn other people’s experience! I didn’t really get super into blogging until 3 years after I’d started my blog. I’ve both approached companies and been approached – but I love doing it.
I’m very selective regarding the brands I work with. I say no more than yes. HAHAHA

This is really interesting Corinne 🙂 I haven’t been posting recently to be honest recently, but it is due to a very good reason – getting a new and very time consuming job 🙂 However when I get back on the the blogging band wagon properly, I would like to accept the odd sponsored post from time to time. Bloggers out a lot of effort into their work and so I think from time to time it’s fine to accept the odd treat, and if it’s in-keeping with the blog’s usual theme, the readers will appreciate the review too.

I have done one skincare review and that’s it in nearly 7 months. Hopefully if I keep blogging more regularly, then my blog will get seen by more PR people 🙂

Hi Corine! interesting was this post, actually my take me much longer to be contacted by the PR but since last year I receive invitations at least once a week to events or product launches, I prefer products or services that go with the line of my blog. Kisses!

I would love to be approached by PR! I see what some of these bloggers are saying though, sometimes it takes away from the personal part of the blog, but it’s also really nice to see what others are saying about a project. I’ve been blogging for 3 years and have only 21 followers, but being contacted by PR would be awesome!
