It’s been a long time since I received a Glossybox. I had a 6 month subscription last year but cancelled as I wasn’t really enjoying the products. I’m only one box away for earning enough glossydots for a free box, so when I was e-mailed a code for £4 off, I decided to order the April Glossybox and see if I can find some new loves.
It was the same, standard box, wrapped up nicely. There’s a magazine now, which is new to me. It’s only around 12 pages but has a selection of cool interviews and tips.
I opened the box to find the products inside, this was a little anti-climatical as the products hardly filled the box as they were small so the box seemed too big for the items.
The Products.
TRESemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo. Fullsize: £4.99 for 200ml.
I started using dry shampoo a few months ago after suffering with scalp problems that made me need to reduce how often I wash my hair. I’ve not tried this one yet but I’m excited to give it a go. It smells like hairspray, which is something I’ve not come across in a dry shampoo before!
Emite Makeup Lip Brush – £17
This product is a little wasted on me, to be honest. I rarely wear lip products, if I did, I would not apply them with a lip brush! It does seem like really good quality though.
MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the Blues – Pearl Pink – £5.50 for 12ml
I’m the idiot who thought this was nail varnish. Wheeeeeee. This is actually a multi-use highlighter. The full sized product was sent, which is always fun. I’m much happier now I’ve discovered it’s a highlighter and would love to give this a try and do a separate review of it! The swatchy swatch left a lovely shimmer on my hand.
SunSense UK Daily Face SPF 50+
This is coming to Florida with me, for sure. It’s an oil-free cream that’s lightly tinted, perfect for a summer glow with a high SPF. I’ll let you know how I get on with it when I’ve tried it!
Monu Spa Warming Ginger Massage & Body Oil – £25 for 100ml
This smells like something I want to put in my mouth. Doom. Conflicted, much? What will happen if I swallow it? Just like, a little bit? I was a bit meh about this until I smelt it. Okay okay, I admit it – I gave it a little lick. Just a tiny one. I wouldn’t really recommend it. You know when you make a fruity tea and it smells so delicious, but tastes like wank? It tastes like wank. It’s recommended to put in a bath or use in the shower. Also can be warmed in the hands and massaged into the skin. No more licking.
So there you have it. The April Glossybox. I’m actually pretty happy with it now I’ve gone through the products. I’m excited to try each product apart from the lip brush, which is a shame because that’s the most expensive. I just don’t do lips, okay?
What would you like to try the most?
You right, box is too big for the products.. I like hilighter but brush , it would have been waist for me too, never use a lip brush
Happy weekend

I love my benifit brightener so I would be keen to try the MeMe first. I am allergic to the sun so the 50 suncream would be a must. Wishing you a lovely weekend Lucy x
You’re allergic to the sun? Oh no.
I’d love to try the tresemme instant refresh, always love their products so may give it a go! Great post. I just bought the birchbox, and thought it was great!

When I was subscribed I loved the arrival of my postman with this beautiful boxes. Then I decided to cancel because they don´t arrive when they promise. I think it brings very varied products. I like yours. Kisses:)
The brush is a bargain!!
How great to get it in a box! the box is way too big for the products though!
Would love to see the highlighter actually on your face to see the difference!

Lol – I got this glossybox and you arent the only idiot who thought the highlighter was a nail varnish! I even painted my nails with it and wondered why it didnt dry – made for a great laugh on Facebook later though ! x
Haha, I guess you’re an even bigger idiot than me then 😉 I read the leaflet before I tried it!
haha I also thought that the Mememe product was a nail varnish. I like the content of your box, unfortunately I haven’t received my Glossybox April yet.
Have a great weekend!
Hello from Spain: I would try the cream Sunsense Daily Face SPF 50. I need protection on my face.. Keep in touch
thanks for sharing. I to thought the highlighter was nail varnish. Can’t wait for you to review it as im intrigued. I also use alot of dry shampoo but prefer batiste as it seems to do a better job on my hair, you might like the tresemme one though x
I really like batisite, it’s what I usually use. I’m going to give this a go the next chance I get!
You going to love the dry shampoo is my favorite great items you got.

great post!!!!!
The ‘MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the Blues’ looks gorgeous! I really want to try it♥
I’d definitely love to give the highlighter a go – I’ve always meant to buy myself one but can never part with my money as I don’t know if they’re actually worth it. So I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out for your review, and I agree, I thought it was nail varnish at a first glance!
Hope you’re having a lovely day 🙂

You can get some really cheap dupes of highbeam on amazon. Get a cheap one first and see how you feel.
I really like the highlighter 😀 I love full size products too! do try out & swatch! 😀
Looks like a good arrangement of products. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.
I used to receive US Glossyboxes and stopped after a while. Loved seeing this UK version. I just love massage oils, and the way you explained the scent this one sounds amazing! <3 ( without trying for a taste :-)) I also like the brush; I don’t use a lot of lip brushes either but sometimes when you have only a bit left of your favorite lipstick they are great for getting that out. 😉 XOXO, Elif

Ohh, I’ve never thought of using it for getting the last bit of lippy out!
Still not sold on making the move back to glossy box! Birch box has been perfect for me this year, I’d highly suggest you give it a try!

Ha! I know what you mean about thoose fruit teas that smell way better than they taste. Hope the body oil isn’t one of those things…
It’s always so disappointing. I just stick to coffee now 😉
the loot does seem a tad disappointing, no? booooo ):
This box is very nice, products looks great !
I haven’t tried any of those products. They look nice though. Glad you were pleased.
