This is my motivational dress.
I bought this a couple weeks ago and it is slightly too small. You might think that it fits me perfectly, but this is the internet, kids, and like most things on the internet, the cake dress is a lie. It doesn’t zip up properly.
I have been trying this dress on every day to help me stay motivated to lose all the weight I’ve gained this winter.
I know I’ve been successful if I can Floriday this dress.
Floriday is a new word I’ve made up. It means my holiday to Florida in May. I’ve not worked out how to use it correctly in regards to grammar, but I’m just going to forget the rules and do whatever the hell I like with it.
I’m getting a bit disheartened about the whole situation, to be honest. I have been running a lot eating healthy, a lot of salads and fruit and the weight does not seem to be coming off. I do not know what I am doing wrong. If I eat any less, I might as well just not eat. If I exercise anymore, I’ll need to eat more to keep up. I’m trapped, I’m trapped, help me. I’m just at loss (only in the mental sense of the word, unfortunately).
That’s it, I’m putting my foot down. I’m going to give it one more week and if something doesn’t change then.. um, er – I don’t know. Just pretend I am saying something really threatening and intimidating while waving my clenched firsts in the air.

aDRESSing. Lolz. Ugh, I’m such an idiot.
OK, so I did my 10k on Sunday. I ran it in 1 hour and 13 minutes. It has made me a lot more motivated to work on my speed and I am now going to train to run a 5k in under 30 minutes – which means a sub 10 minute mile. Yik!
I’m going to enter two of the Race for Life events, two weeks apart, at the end of June and then another 10k in July in hopes to improve my time. I’d be happy with anything between 1 hour and 1 hour and 8.
I’ll be reading up on how to improve on speed as I’ve never really cared about how fast that I go, it was just the going that was important. I shall be doing mini-updates, but I’ll be talking about it mostly on my second blog.
