So I had work yesterday, when I finished I was like MAN I WANT SOME LAMB. Then this great dilemma faced me – both of my housemates (who are chefs) were at work. So if I wanted lamb, I would have to cook it myself. Oh no, the only thing I can cook is toast and boiled eggs. I also know how to microwave soup and order pizza from Hungry House.

I decided that I would buy the lamb, and consult my best friend Google and find out how to cook this thing.

I figured I would slow roast it, because apparently that is better than normal roasting. It would take 3 hours. Great – housemates would not be home for about 3 hours so this was perfect. I had great hope of them coming home just before the 3 hour mark so they could tell me if it was done or not.

I seasoned it. I did not realise I would have to do this, but everywhere I looked they talked about seasoning it. So I put olive oil, rosemary, salt and pepper on to it. I had to rub it in. I rubbed it in good.
Now it was the scary part. Lighting the oven. Our oven, hob and grill does not light with the oven spark button thing. So we have to use a lighter. I am terrified of lighting it with the lighter, so I get a long piece of paper, light the end, then light the oven. So I did that, by this time I was getting quite nervous about the whole thing and there were serious self doubts inside my tiny un-chef-like head.

I set the oven to gas mark 2 and waited 3 hours.

This was the result!

I then had to wait for housemates to come home. Lilly cut the meat and I made the root veg mash and green veg. I would love to say I made all this myself, but it was Tesco Finest ready made stuff I just needed to microwave it. One step at a time!

Look at what I did. I am growing up so fast.

Anyway, today is a LOVELY day. I am going into the centre of Leeds with Christine where we will both get our hair cut. I haven’t had my hair cut in about 6 months (I am sure you can tell) so it is split end galore. I do not want a lot chopping off because I like it long. Just get rid of my ends and layer it up a bit, please. Thanks.

I do not like going to the hairdressers because they always try to make conversation with me and I am creepy and awkward and never know what to say.

After hair, we are supposed to be meeting up with our old housemate, Donna. Hi Donna! She has big boobs.

I better get dressed and get a move on!
