GASP not a dress!

GASP not a dress!

Hi guys.

Sad news sad news. Did not go skiing. We were going to go to Beamish instead but when I got up this morning I felt like hell, I’ve hardly slept, my glands are swollen, my head hurts, I was sick so I decided it would not be a very good idea for me to do the 1 hour 30 mins drive. I tried really hard, I drank loads of water, ate some toast to see if it could help, put make-up on but I just could not do it. I felt terrible when I had to go and tell housemates. It is sucky being the only driver sometimes, they should have gone somewhere without me. Go on without me, friends!

I feel a little better now, I still don’t feel great.

I think I have work related stress. Give me a week off. Or two, please doctor.

Anyways, I am not wearing a dress today, oh no! I am wearing a skirt because um, well, I don’t know, because I want to, okay? I was going to wear some jeans for comfort but then remembered I have a drawer full of skirts I have not worn in months. The great thing about this blog is that it is forcing me to rediscover things I’ve forgotten about. And put them on my body. Grin.

Sorry about the bad hair and face and yada. I am sick, you see. Send me drugs.

Skirt is from New Look, but it is old, like 3 years old. I love the shape of it, it has pinstripesssss! The t-shirt is also from New Look, I got it just before Christmas but is not on the website anymore. Sad. and the cardigan is old too, from Tesco. I am also wearing my big fluffy boot slippers I got from Tesco last Christmas. I know they are not stylish, but they help me feel better. *Gentle smile*

Haha, I didn’t quite make the timer and it kind of looks like I am creeping up!

Balloon in the background from here, they are all over the house. Apparently our housemate Pete gets really pissed off every time he sees them =(

Closeup of the skirt/pinstripe detail

Last night we played scrabble. Yes! It was frustration because I kept getting really unhappy letters. Look, I have evidence.

I always get stuck with a million vowels. The world is against me, or at least the alphabet is.

Then next I got:

Which was a little better but not much, I ended up with 5 i’s at one point and could not get rid of them. So I swapped them out. Take that, i’s! Pow pow.

Something similar happened to me on word tricks the other day.

ALWAYS ALL THE VOWELS. Then for about 4 goes after this, I continued to get the vowels =( I was mad sad.

Anyway, I won the gamemmmemmeememememe.

Do you like playing scrabble? I’m totally addicted to the game on my phone so now I love to play it. =) What’s your favorite board game?

We own quite a lot in our house, but there’s always room for more!

Have a nice weekend!

Oh no, feel better soon. Why don’t you put onesie on, get some hot drinks and snuggle on sofa/in bed with a film. If it is work stress (and even if it isn’t) you need lots of rest and sleep and lots of nutrients. Can one of the many chefs in your house make you some vegetable soup and also get some orange juice down you, body needs to be repaired.

    Feel better soon

    Hey dear!
Aww thanks so much for sharing that cute video with me! I loved it so much 🙂 But I don´t quite get what´s wrong with the guy at the beginning of the 2nd video? Is he drunk or has he been beaten up or what? 😛
Also I´m glad you found a nice face cream for yourself, I can´t wait for your post about it!
    Have a nice day!

sorry to hear that you’re not well. i love your boots SO MUCH! 😀 think your outfit’s well cute. i used to follow Once Upon A Time quite religiously but i’m quite disappointed with the new (current?) season so i’ve stopped. perhaps i’ll pick back up on it but if it’s going to be too much work, probably not. lol! i’m hardly really at home these days anyway. i’ve kind of had to cut away a lot of tv shows.

i haven’t played Scrabble in forever but i do love the game so!! (also Taboo surprise, surprise.)

hope you feel better soon, hun! loads of water, does the trick.

I was obsessed with words with friends for quite some time. Super addicting. Sometimes the stars would align and I have a 100 point word, other times I’d have five vowels too. 🙂

Haha, my best word was like 251 on word tricks! If you get loads of green letters in a row you get double or triple points. It’s the best!

Oh no, sorry to hear you haven’t been well: it’s horrible having to let people down, but even more horrible to force yourself to do something when you’re not up to it, so I think you did the right thing!

On the plus side, your outfit is great, and you’ve just reminded me that I’ve been meaning to try the “slogan shirt + pencil skirt” combo for a while: love it!
