Sleep Awareness Week with Benenox Overnight Recharge

Sleep Awareness Week with Benenox Overnight Recharge

Last week Sleep Awareness Week promoting the importance of getting a good nights sleep.

Sleep helps our body repair and recover overnight, but many of us still feel exhausted when we wake and struggle to function the next day. It’s not just about 8 hours a night, but the quality of sleep you’re getting.

Your body and brain are actually more active than you would think while you’re sleeping! GP Dr Roger Henderson comments:

“To carry out its essential overnight repairs and cell rejuvenation, your body uses energy in the form of glycogen which is stored in the liver. During the night, these glycogen stores get depleted at a rate of 10g per hour, of which 65% is used by the brain. If this energy supply runs out, the liver sends stress signals to the brain in the form of the hormone cortisol, alerting it to wake up until sufficient levels are restored. This process can result in broken sleep, which you may not even be aware of, but can often leave you feeling tired and lacking in energy the following day.”

We’ve all had those days where we wake up feeling exhausted and struggle to function. Imagine what you would achieve if you were fully charged!

Benonex has a new product out called Overnight Recharge. As part of Sleep Awareness Week, they sent me a box of sleep goodies along with their new product to try out.

I’m going to be testing it out next week to see how the product works for me, but here’s some information about it:

Benenox Overnight Recharge is a nighttime mindfuel for those that struggle with disrupted sleep, tirenedss, low energy and poor concentration levels due to tiredness.

It is a combination of honey, Sustamine® and Vitamin B6, which, when taken before bed, supplements your body’s stored energy levels to support good quality sleep, leaving you feeling fully recharged and ready to take on the day ahead.

The blend of ingredients in Benenox Overnight Recharge helps to:

  • Reduce tiredness and fatigue
  • Support your mental function
  • Maintain normal energy production

Honey is well known for its health benefits and its mix of natural sugars is believed to help boost glycogen stores in the liver to use during the night.

Sustamine® is a combination of two amino acids, L-Alanine and L-Glutamine, which help the liver to store glycogen by slowing absorption of honey in the stomach.

Vitamin B6 has been shown to reduce tiredness and fatigue while supporting psychological function, helping you feel more energised so you can perform at your best.

As someone with a busy lifestyle, I’m often feeling tired. I can be out of the house 12 hours a day due to work and going to the gym. That 6 am alarm clock can really be painful some days! Can’t wait to see how this works for me!

Do you have a problem sleeping?

Ah! A good night sleep is the best thing ever! My sleeping pattern is really weird and off track at the moment so perhaps some honey and vitamins will do wonders. 😉 I’m curious if it will actually work or makes you SO focused on sleep that it work against itself. Love the mug!

    Love,

A good night’s sleep is so important! I’m currently trying out the Benenox Overnight Recharge myself, and am keen to see if it is as good as it’s supposed to be. I’m a very light sleeper, so this definitely impacts on my quality of sleep as I wake up frequently through the night.
