My Name is Girl by Nina Cosford is, quite simply, an illustration of the female mind.
Nina is a an illustrator who lives and works in Britain. If you’ve ever watched the TV Show Girls you won’t be surprised that she has worked with Lena Dunham.
This book is simply a fun addition to the coffee table, taking you on a journey inside what it’s like to be a girl in 2017. From body insecurities, to picking between a sports bra or stringy sexy number, it’s a light hearted look complete with pictures into the mind of a girl.
You’ll find yourself nodding along to the book, even if you’re trying to resist the stereotypical portrayals of the modern women. It’s messy, it’s silly and it’s serious.
I was kindly sent a signed copy for review and enjoyed spending an hour flicking through and doing some inner soul searching myself.
It looks like a fun book to have and a great gift too.
Ah this looks like a coffee table book that would be right up my street!
