#socialbloggers 121 // Transition of blog niches

blog niches

I’ve already spoke about blog niches and my thoughts in this post:

Is being a lifestyle blogger a cop out?

So I’ll just leave the questions and answers in this one. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Copy of 2016 (5)

Q1: have you always been blogging about the topics you’re writing about now? Or did you have a transition from a niche?

Q2: apart from your own blogging niche, is there any topic you want to blog about, if you ever get a chance to do so?

Q3: if you could come up with/create a unique niche of your own in the blogging world, what would it be?

Q4: what do you think about multiple niches blog? Like when people blog about anything or everything?

I started as a fashion and food blog but slowly started adding lifestyle to my blog because 1) they were easier to write and 2) it was easier to make that information relatable and informative. Now, I consider myself a lifestyle blogger but I also phrase it as “a lifestyle blog that focuses primarily on style”. It doesn’t confuse companies that come looking for me – I don’t think – because style posts are the most common thing on my website. If I’m posting several posts a week, you will always see style. And same if I was only posting one post.

I definitely understand the need to branch out. I started as a book blogger, but there are so many interesting things to talk about in this world and as a result I blog about the things that I like and what represents me. I tried creating different blog (I still have no idea how you manage to run so many 🙂 ) but it was too much too soon so I rather diversify on my current blog than be unable to deliver proper content on several (sometimes it is difficult running just one blog…) Now, I don;t really tend to market my blog as a lifestyle blog instead I say that the blog is about me and my world. It might not generate me the same amount of opportunities nor gain a large following, but that’s alright. It is what I feel comfortable with at this moment in time. Hope this makes sense. 🙂

My blog has always just been a waffle-fest. I have blogged about anything because I am that eclectic sort of eperson!
