#socialbloggers 106 // Blogging and new styles

1

It’s always fun to try out new things with your blog. It’s good to experiment and see what works. I find that new projects can give me a massive boost of inspiration.

Though you have to keep in mind that not everything is going to work for you.

A few years ago, I started Blogger Forums. It went well for a while, but people lost interest quickly so in the end, I gave up. It just wasn’t worth my time and it hadn’t taken off as well as I had hoped. But that’s okay.

There are many new things that have worked well for me. Such as:

I encourage everyone to try new things, whether that’s YouTube, Podcasts, a blog series – if you want to try something, don’t be afraid to fail because we all have set backs. It’s much better to try and it not work out than it is to never try and regret it.

Know when to quit.

It was tough for me to stop running the forums, because I had spent a lot of time on it. But it’s important to recognise when you need to cut your loses and take your time back.

Is there anything you want to try but have been putting off?

Q1: What’s something new you’ve started for your blogging journey? Like vlogging or new photography styles?

Q2: What is something that you haven’t tried but want to start doing for your blog OR with your blog?

Q3: Who’s someone or something that helps you the most whilst taking a plunge for your blog?

Q4: If you had to give yourself a pep talk before doing something, what would you say?

I really wanna mix up my blog a bit, but being that haven’t done it for a while and am just coming back into it, I don’t think it will be a good idea for me to stray from what I’m doing just yet. Its definitely something I look forward to doing in the future though xx

I love trying out new things, it keeps my creativity going 🙂 Currently I’m working on building up my Youtube channel and creating one video per week. At first it was tough but now I’m enjoying it so much 🙂

I love your chats on a Saturday, gutted I missed it! I really want to guest post somewhere, and would love to have a guest poster one day! But I really want to try vlogging type thing on my snapchat! I need to get another snapchat already to use for my blog, I really don’t want my work friends seeing me ramble lol!

I love the answers to the #socialbloggers questions, especially “GET MOVING AND STOP PROCRASTINATING YOU LAZY SLOTH!” Haha I need to use this one on myself! I think my biggest barrier is that I over think things. I need to stop thinking & start doing. That way, I’ll have much more to show for my efforts. Xx
