Degustabox // Winterbox 2014

food/ review

DEGUSTABOX UK (3)Ahh! It’s arrived! The latest Degustabox – the winter box. A lovely box of treats and ingredients to keep us happy over the colder months!

I love it when Degustabox contains booze. Thanks to them, I’ve started drinking ginger beer and fruited ciders, which I’ve never been overly bothered about before!

Anyway – this is an Italian cider will be enjoyed on a Saturday evening after work.

Branston Mediterranean Tomato Chutney

Thanks to Schmidt from New Girl, I can’t say chutney without saying it like him.

I’m going to suggest we save this until New Years eve and have it with a cheese board. Wine and cheese and olives and chut-en-nee. Sounds perfect. Right?

Kent’s Kitchen Flavour Shots

Hello fajitas! These are 4 shots you simply add to your meat or prawns to enhance meals. I’m thinking of adding this to some turkey and some slim noodles for a healthy, yummy meal!

Holy Cow Indian Curries

I’ve seen this in supermarkets before – authentic indian curries with all natural ingredients. They’re gluten free and vegetarian. They’re such an easy way to make a quick yummy meal. The madras is really making me curious!

£1.69 each

Kettle Chips Salsa & Mesquite

This is one of the two Christmas limited edition flavour of Kettle chips. The other one is Stilton and Port.

Kettle chips are one of my favourite types of crisps – they’re so crunchy and full of flavour! Get in my belleh.

£2.19 each

Pip Organic Apple Juice

Pip organic is a family run business that produces a range of pure organic smoothies and juices. This is made from 100% organic fruit juice and has no added sugar, water or preservatives! Great alternative to a can of coke at lunch!

£1.50 each.

Cool Down Recovery

Now you’re talking, buddy! A hangover recovery drink.

As you read this, I am enjoying a holiday in North Yorkshire with some fellow bloggers. There’s going to be lots of booze so these are coming with me!

It’s a herbal detox drink that helps to prevent and cure hangovers. You take one near the end of the evening and another in the morning if needed. I’ll let you know how it goes 😀

£1.49 each

Lindt My Melting Moment

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Lindt chocolate, right? These lovely chocolate stars are filled with smooth melting lindor milk chocolate. Yummy little stocking fillers and after dinner treats!

Sample Treat // Drink Me Chai Spiced Chai

I love chai tea and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to try this, but I’ve just never had the chance. Very happy to get a sample of this 🙂

It’s a blend of exotic spices and is perfect with either hot water or tea.

Bonus Gift // Baru Marshmallows

These individual wrapped marshmallows were not in every box, they’re a bonus gift form Degustabox that they’ve given to their most loyal subscribers who have been there since the start and some of their favourite bloggers.

I’ve never heard of these before, but they are fluffy marshmallow covered in dark chocolate with a delicious layer of caramel. They’re so rich, you only need on little piece to feel satisfied!

Great box the holy cow would be something that I would like to try. The Chai tea I have a few of these and they are really good. If you like it they do a home tub similar to hot chocolate. The Lindt stars look yummy Lucy x

Was the cider any good? Hard ciders are one of my favorite drinks (besides wine and coffee:)

      Who doesn’t love fajitas, right?

  • Reply Sarah December 1, 2014 at 2:42 pm

Really intrigued by the hangover drinks, my go-to cure right now is a big fat McDonalds breakfast and copious amounts of extra strong tea, not really sure it’s the best cure!
