Before we get started, I just want to apologise for the close ups of my very facial face. I know my eyebrows aren’t perfect, my skin has uneven skin tone and blah blah, but I’m kind of always a little unkept.
I’ve actually been told before by an ex that my ‘slightly unkept’ look is endearing. LOL. So let’s take that and run, shall we?
I mean, I could have plucked my eyebrows to a better shape and used primer and foundation instead of just the stardard BB cream, but I don’t do that on a normal day so I don’t see why I should do it on a bloggy day either. I’ve never pretended to be a beauty blogger. I’m just too lazy for that shit, not that it’s shit. Just that, I’m not good at it or overly interested in it but I always feel like I should be. I haven’t even heard of half of the brands and I only just bought Mac for the first time. I’m more of an ‘average’ dude (well, not dude, dude’s don’t wear make-up. Mostly) when it comes to make-up. I don’t know tonnes about the stuff, but I know what I like and when I find it I’ll stick to it.
Okay, glad we’ve got that out of the way!
To be perfectly honest, when it comes to eyeliner, I’ve been a pencil kinda gal my whole life. I’ve been using pencil eyeliner since I was around 18 and I’ve never really been a fan of the liquid look. I’ve always found it looking really fake (because like, pencil eyeliner looks so real? Fuck logic, woo). This is one of the goodies Cohorted sent me for hosting a giveaways on ‘me blawg’. I never would have tried liquid liner if it wasn’t for this.
Apart from the annoyance of always losing my pencil sharpener when my pencil liner was blunt, I never saw a need to change. Every time I saw reviews of liquid liner on blogs, I was always all ‘I don’t think I could ever do liquid liner and still look like a person’.
But ya know what? I DID LIKE LIQUID LINER. AND I MANAGED TO STILL LOOK LIKE A PERSON. A decent looking person, too.
This is, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Soap and Glory Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen.
I was very pleased to see that it does not bleed into the skin like I feared and isn’t too hard to apply. I guess you have to get used to what pressure and angle you need to use to get the thickness you want, but I liked the end result!
I’m happy to say that with this, I’ll never have to worry about losing my sharpener again!
